LA PLATA, Md. (October 12, 2012)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

PATROL OFFICER RECOVERS DRUGS AND STOLEN REGISTRATION PLATE: On Oct. 10 at 9:54 p.m., Officer J. Morales was in the 11000 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf when he initiated a traffic stop involving a 2003 Kawasaki sports bike -a computer check of the registration plate revealed the tag was stolen. The driver refused to pull over and fled to Berry Road where he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. The driver fled on foot but was apprehended by Officer Morales a short distance away. Officer Morales recovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia, syringes, an injection kit and narcotic pills from the driver. Kyle Anthony Stevens, 20, of Waldorf, was arrested and charged with theft, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing and eluding, and multiple traffic violations.

BURGLARY: On Oct. 10 at 4 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Guinevere Lane in Pomfret for the report of a burglary at a vacant house. Investigation revealed an unknown white male drove a white pick-up truck to the house and parked in the driveway. He exited his vehicle and made entry into the house through a back door. Once inside, the man stole numerous plumbing pipes. The break-in was reported later by someone who is taking care of the house. Officers canvassed the neighborhood and learned that several people saw the suspect park in the driveway but thought he was there to do repair work. Officer C. Collins is investigating.

DETECTIVES DEVELOP NEW LEADS IN LIQUOR STORE ROBBERIES: Detectives have developed new leads in the investigation of two liquor store robberies that occurred in the western part of the county in early September. Investigators want to identify a woman who appears to be connected to the two male suspects. Her photograph was caught on camera and detectives want to hear from anyone who recognizes her. Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the identity of the suspects.

The suspects are responsible for the Sept. 2 robbery of Portside Liquors in the 6900 block of Indian Head Highway in Bryans Road and the Sept. 14 robbery of Country Place Liquors in the 3100 block of Marshall Hall Road in Bryans Road. In each case, the suspects entered the store, brandished a gun and demanded money.

The suspects are described as black males, possibly in their twenties. One suspect is between 5'06"-5'08", 170-180 lbs., and had long hair worn in dreadlocks. He usually wears a Chicago Bulls baseball cap. The other suspect is about 6'03", thin build, and has worn a Redskins cap. The female has a medium build and long hair.
