LA PLATA, Md. (August 16, 2012)The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
STRONG-ARM ROBBERY: Charles County Sheriff's detectives are seeking the identities of four males who assaulted a man in the 3200 block of Huntington Circle in Waldorf. On Aug. 15 at 1 a.m., the victim, 28, was walking his dog on a path when a group of males approached, struck him several times and stole his money. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence. Anyone with information is asked to call the Charles County Sheriff's Office at (301) 932-2222. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating.
THEFT FROM AUTO: Between Aug. 13 - Aug. 14, during the overnight hours, unknown suspect(s) broke into a car in the 4700 block of Diamond Ridge Lane in White Plains and stole property that was left in the car. PFC. D. Raby is investigating.
MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT: On Aug. 15 at 1:09 a.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Old Washington Road in Waldorf for the report of an assault in progress. Investigation revealed two employees of a sports bar were in the process of escorting a disorderly male outside when the man pulled a knife and threatened them. Officers located the suspect and recovered a knife. Wade Lawrence Freeman, 20, of Oxon Hill, was arrested and charged with assault. Officer D. Proctor made the arrest.
