The investigation revealed that sometime between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m., suspect(s) forced entry into the store, stole liquor, cigarettes and cigarette lighters, and fled the scene. During the investigation, the officers developed a suspect and then located and detained him. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division responded and developed two additional suspects. The detectives obtained and executed a search warrant, recovered evidence and arrested the three suspects. The suspects were identified as Indian Head residents Nathan Francis Marshall, 29, Chad Thomas Headley, 19, and Michael Jermaine Jacobs, 19. Marshall, Headley and Jacobs were charged with second- and fourth-degree burglary, theft valued between $1,000 and $10,000, and malicious property destruction. BURGLARY: On Aug. 8 at 12:03 p.m., the owner of a residence in the 4700 block of Ford Court in White Plains returned home and discovered the front door had been opened. The homeowner found a juvenile male and a young adult male in his home. The intruders had taken the homeowner’s X-Box 360 and a game controller and placed them into plastic bags. The juvenile attempted to escape through a back door but was unable to open it. The homeowner called the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and officers responded and arrested the intruders. Jared Mathew Kimble, 22, and the 14-year-old boy, both of White Plains, were charged with first-degree burglary and attempted theft valued at less than $1,000. ROBBERY/ASSAULT: The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a strong-arm robbery and assault that took place Aug. 5 about 2:40 a.m. on Ryon Court.

The victim, a 62-year-old Waldorf man, was delivering newspapers in the 3300 block of Ryon Court. When he exited his vehicle, a male suspect approached him and initiated a conversation. The victim attempted to return to his van but the suspect struck him from behind. The man turned to confront the suspect and was attacked by five or six male suspects, who punched and kicked the victim numerous times. The suspects stole the victim’s wallet, cell phone, jewelry and clothing. They attacked him a second time before fleeing the scene in his van.

The victim fled to the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office’s Waldorf District Station. Officers and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded. An officer quickly fastened a poncho for the victim to wear as cover using a CCSO-issued emergency blanket. The victim was transported by ambulance to Civista Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Officers canvassed the area where the attack occurred and found the victim’s van nearby in the 12100 block of Vivian Adams Drive.

One suspect was described as black male between the ages of 18 and 20 and was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt with white lettering on the front. A second black male was wearing a gray tank top. The other suspects were described only as black males.

Detectives assumed the investigation earlier this week and as part of their investigation they canvassed the neighborhood and distributed informational/reward flyers to residents in the Ryon Court area.
