LA PLATA, Md. (August 3, 2012)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office has released the following incident and arrest reports.
PATROL OFFICER MAKES DRUG ARREST: On August 1 at 11:37 p.m., Officer J. Morales initiated a traffic stop in the area of Crain Highway and Mattawoman Drive in Waldorf after observing a vehicle being driven on the roadway with no headlights on. Upon approaching the vehicle, Officer Morales detected the odor of marijuana. After checking further, the officer found nearly 40 bags of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car. The driver, Jules Sundeilo Harden, 21, of Virginia, and passenger, Marqui Deshwan Worthy, 20, of Waldorf, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were remanded to the Charles County Detention Center.
BURGLARY: On August 2 at 1 a.m., unknown suspect(s) broke out the window to the True Value store at 8030 Matthews Drive in Bryans Road and stole a small amount of cash and other items. PFC C. Deehan is investigating.
