LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 9, 2012)The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, July 7, at 3:15pm, TFC J. Pilkerton served two outstanding Bench Warrants (T3-15573 / T3-15574) on Shawn Michael Clarke, 29, of Mechanicsville. Both warrants were issued July 6 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with original charges of Driving while Suspended. Mr. Clarke was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, July 7, at 3:37pm, TFC E. Evans conducted a traffic stop on a tan Cadillac sedan on Washington Street at Pope Street in Leonardtown for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle TFC Evans positively identified the operator as Jeremy Donald Overby, 21, of Lothian. While on the traffic stop, TFC Evans detected the odor of burnt CDS emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle and Mr. Overby revealed both CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Overby was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
THEFT UNDER $100 On Saturday, July 7, at 4:36pm, TFC G. Thompson responded to the Wal-Mart located on Miramar Way in California for two shop lifters in custody. Upon arrival, contact was made with the Loss Prevention personnel who advised that two female subjects were observed placing items in a purse and then exiting all points of sale without paying for all of the merchandise. Both subjects were confronted outside of the establishment and then returned inside. TFC Thompson made contact with the subjects, identified as Kristina May Alvey 18, of Park Hall and Kimberly Dawn Stone, 19, of Park Hall. Based on the information provided, both Ms. Alvey and Ms. Stone were arrested for Theft Less Than $100.00 and issued a Criminal Citation prior to being released from Wal-Mart with a mandatory court date.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, July 7, at 7:30pm, TFC B. Wiesemann served a Bench Warrant (T3-15580) on Garrett Dewayne Butler, 32, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Charles County with an original charge of Driving while Suspended on June 21.Mr. Butler was located during a routine traffic stop and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, July 7, at 9:05pm, TFC J. Pilkerton served an Arrest Warrant (T3-15571) on Crista Ann Snyder, 33, of Hollywood. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Theft $1,000.00 to under $10,000.00 on July 5. Ms. Snyder was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review by the District Court Commissioner.
