WASHINGTON (June 28, 2012)The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.
The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $31,240,470 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract for non-recurring engineering associated with Engineering Change Proposal 6381SOW for the F/A-18 & EA-18G AN/APG-79 active electronically scanned array radio detection and ranging general purpose Processor 3 upgrade. Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif. (84 percent), and St. Louis, Mo. (16 percent), and is expected to be completed in May 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. Raytheon Co., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $6,722,785 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-10-G-0006) for upgrades to the F/A-18 AN/APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar commercial depot. These upgrades will provide the depot with the capabilities to diagnose and validate repairs of the Royal Australian Air Force APG-79 AESA radar under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif. (70 percent), and Forest, Miss. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed in August 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
Lockheed Martin Logistic Services, Inc., Greenville, S.C., is being awarded a $44,648,529 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for prototyping, non-recurring engineering, fabrication, installation, integration, testing, debugging, technical support services, documentation, and maintenance of aircraft avionics systems, ground systems, and laboratory electronic and electromechanical equipment for presidential helicopter and executive transport programs. These efforts are in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division's Avionics Architecture and Systems Engineering Division (AIR-4.5.1). Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md., and is expected to be completed in June 2017. No funding is being obligated at time of award. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. Bell Boeing Joint Project Office, Amarillo, Texas, is being awarded a $23,865,065 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of eight V-22 Block A to B 50 - 60 series upgrade kits. Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa. (80 percent), and Fort Worth, Texas (20 percent), and is expected to be completed in June 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. Simmonds Precision Products, doing business as Goodrich Corp., Sensors and Integrated Systems, Vergennes, Vt., is being awarded a $9,568,407 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 120 various Integrated Mechanical Diagnostic System kits in support of the MH-60R/S helicopters for the Navy and the government of Australia under the Foreign Military Sales Program. These kits include 11 retrofit kits and one Delta retrofit kit for the Navy; 24 Troy kits for the government of Australia; 42 integrated vehicle health management units and data transfer units (18 for Navy; 24 for government of Australia); and 42 production kits (18 for Navy; 24 for government of Australia). Work will be performed in Vergennes, Vt., and is expected to be completed in March 2014. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
