LA PLATA, Md. (June 26, 2012)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY/ASSAULT: On June 25 at 1:36 p.m., officers responded to the park and ride at Smallwood Drive West in Waldorf for the report of an attempt robbery. The victim stated he was waiting for a bus when two suspects approached and demanded money. The victim refused and the suspects assaulted him and fled the scene without obtaining money. One suspect is described as a white male in his teens to early twenties and the second suspect is described as a black male in his teens to early twenties. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence. Anyone with information is asked to call the Charles County Sheriff's Office at (301) 932-2222. STRONG - ARM ROBBERY: On June 24 at 1 a.m., officers responded to the area of St. Patrick's Drive and Smallwood Drive in Waldorf for the report of a strong-arm robbery. Investigation revealed two 16-year-old males were leaving a convenience store when they were approached by a group of teenage males who assaulted them and stole a shirt, pants and shoes from one victim. Officers canvassed the area and developed leads in the case. PFC J. Feldman is investigating.

THEFT: On June 23, between 1 a.m. - 2:30 a.m., unknown suspects stole the wheels off of a 2006 Dodge Charger on Michele Court in Bryans Road. Officer D. Benthin is investigating.

THEFTS FROM MOTOR VEHICLES: On June 22, during the overnight hours, unknown suspects broke into several cars on Bethesda Drive and Pinewood Drive in Waldorf. An iPod was stolen from one car, money and sunglasses from other vehicles. Some of the car owners reported leaving their cars unlocked. POI C. Garner is investigating.

BICYCLE STOLEN: Between June 20 - June 21, unknown suspect(s) stole a red and black Schwinn bicycle from the 4000 block of Night Heron Court in Waldorf. The bike had been locked with a cable but the suspects managed to remove the cable. PFC L. Sershen is investigating.
