PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (June 4, 2012)The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WEEKLY SUMMARY: During the week of May 28 through June 3, deputies responded to 1,585 calls for service throughout the community.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Someone stole a wallet from a locked vehicle parked outside a home on Cox Road in Chesapeake Beach between May 29 and 30. The wallet and contents are valued at $30, however, a credit card was used four times by the unknown suspect(s). DFC Kreps is continuing the investigation.
DRUG ARREST: On May 30 at 10:34 p.m. DFC J. Smith arrested Kimberlie Nichole Thomas, 25 of Lusby for DUI and DWI. Thomas was released to her husband but was found driving her vehicle a second time within an hour of her initial arrest. Cpl. A. Moschetto informed Ms. Thomas she was under arrest a second time for DUI. At that time, Moschetto observed Thomas put something in the pocket of her husband. The recovered item was suspected drugs. Thomas was also charged with possession of marijuana.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Three victims on Wildflower Lane in Huntingtown advised Dep. G. Gott that someone had damaged their mailboxes overnight between May 30 and 31. The mailboxes' posts were pulled out of the ground and it appears the post and mailboxes were then thrown to the ground.
THEFT: A woman's purse was stolen from her shopping cart at the Prince Frederick K-Mart on May 31 at 9:50 a.m. The suspect was observed by store personnel and can be seen on store videotape. DFC C. Johnson is investigating.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle on Eucalyptus Drive in St. Leonard on June 1 and stole an Ipod and some change. DFC C. McDonough is investigating.
DISORDERLY: On June 1 at around noon Dep. M. Quinn responded to the outside of Calvert Orthopedics on Town Center Boulevard in Dunkirk for the report of a drunken man trespassing and harassing patients. Quinn made contact with the man and advised him he was not allowed on the property and sent on his way. Dep. Quinn was called back a second time for the same complaint and arrested the man, identified as Harry Jackson Young, 55, of no fixed address. Young has been charged with trespass, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
HOME INVASION: A victim on Cassell Boulevard in Prince Frederick reported to police that on June 2 at 2:30 a.m. three masked, armed black men entered his residence, stole items and tied up several persons who were in the residence. The men brandished firearms but no one was injured. Det. N. DeFelice of C.I.T. is investigating.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Unknown suspect(s) caused $500 in damage when they broke the windows and pulled the wires to the computer and cameras of the guard house at Solomons Landing. Cpl. M. Naecker is investigating the damage that happened on June 2 between 11:20 p.m. and 11:35 p.m.
