MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 17, 2012)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, May 12 at 11:10pm, TFC G. A. Thompson served a Bench Warrant (T3-15053) on Catelynn Nicolle Marstin, 22, of Lusby. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Driving Without A Required License by the District Court of St. Mary's County on July 20, 2011. Ms. Marstin was locate in the area of the Solomon Island Bridge and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Monday, May 14 at 7:37pm, Tpr. S. M. Ditoto responded to the area of Maryland Route 5 and Mechanicsville Road to assist TFC E. J. Page on a traffic stop with Stephen Wade Abell, 22, of Hollywood. Upon arriving on scene, TFC Page informed Tpr. Ditoto that the stop was conducted and revealed that Mr. Abell was operating on a suspended license. Additionally, information provided by Mr. Abell indicated the possibility of CDS being in the vehicle. Tpr. Ditoto made contact with Mr. Abell, detecting the odor of marijuana emitting from his person. A probable cause search of the vehicle was performed revealing CDS in the area of the center console. CDS - Marijuana was also located on Mr. Abell's shirt. Mr. Abell was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, May 15 at 11:26am, Tpr. D. Buckalew served a Bench Warrant (T3-15492) on Richard Anthony Collins, Jr., 26, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued for Mr. Collins on April 19 by the District Court of Calvert County with an original charge of Owner Knowingly Permitting an Uninsured Vehicle to be Driven. Mr. Collins was located upon turning himself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Tuesday, May 15 at 9:20pm, TFC E. M. Evans responded to the 24000 North Patuxent Beach Road in California for a reported domestic assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with Judith Lea Cusic, 65, of California who provided a statement regarding a physical altercation between her and a male victim, 58, of California. Based on statement provided by both Ms. Cusic and the victim, TFC Evans arrested Judith Cusic for Second Degree Assault. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Tuesday, May 15 at 11:12pm, Tpr. E. T. Reuschling responded to the 45000 block of Chancellors Run Court in Great Mills for a reported assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female victim, 28, of Great Mills who advised she was assaulted by Marcell Davon Blackistone, 26, of Lusby when a verbal altercation became physical. The victim advised that the suspect fled the scene prior to Law Enforcement arrival and provided a description. A statement of the incident was provided by the victim. When responding back to his patrol vehicle, Tpr. Reuschling observed a male subject matching the description provided by the victim. Contact was made and the subject was identified as Marcell Blackistone. Mr. Blackistone was immediately taken into custody. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
