LA PLATA, Md. (May 4, 2012)The Charles County Sheriff's Office has released the following incident and arrest reports.
MAN ON ROOF CHARGED WITH FOURTH-DEGREE BURGLARY: On May 2 at 2:12 a.m., officers responded to a business in the 3100 block of Leonardtown Road in Waldorf after a witness called to report a possible burglary in progress. The witness indicated they were inside the building and heard footsteps on the roof. When officers arrived, they found the suspect, Andrew Warwick, 22, of Pomfret, on the roof of the building. He was smoking a cigarette and talking on a cell phone. Warrick indicated he had just left a nearby bar and decided he would climb up to the roof of a building for fun. Along the climb, Warrick damaged a water drain. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree burglary. PFC S. Cartwright made the arrest.
BURGLARY: Between April 29 - May 2, unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 4400 block of Clayton Road in Waldorf. They stole jewelry and copper piping from the basement. Officer R. Walls is investigating.
DETECTIVES ARREST SUSPECT IN FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT: On May 1 at 9:33 a.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of Gallery Place in Waldorf after a woman called police and reported she had been stabbed by an acquaintance during an argument. Officers located the suspect, Sandra Anthony, 24, of Waldorf, and placed her under arrest. She was charged with first-degree assault. The victim was transported to a hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries. Det. G. Higgs is investigating.
