Local Navy Contract Awards


WASHINGTON (May 2, 2012)—The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.

ERAPSCO, Inc., Columbia City, Ind., is being awarded a $10,538,501 firm-fixed-price contract for 2,006 AN/SSQ-101A sonobuoys in support of Navy antisubmarine forces for the mission of detection, classification, and localization of adversary submarines during peacetime and combat operations. Work will be performed in DeLeon Springs, Fla. (53 percent), and Columbia City, Ind. (47 percent), and is expected to be completed in April 2014. Contract funds in the amount of $257,421 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-12-C-0047).

Sikorsky Support Services, Inc., Pensacola, Fla., is being awarded a $63,331,119 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery requirements contract (N00019-11-D-0014) for logistics services and materials for organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance on 179 T-34, 54 T-44, and 192 T-6 aircraft based primarily at Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi, Texas; NAS Whiting Field, Fla.; and NAS Pensacola, Fla. Work will be performed in Corpus Christi, Texas (50 percent), Whiting Field, Fla. (39 percent), Pensacola, Fla. (8 percent), and various sites within the continental United States (3 percent). No funds will be obligated at time of award. Funds will be obligated on individual task orders as they are issued. Work is expected to be completed in September 2012. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Integrated Systems, Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $31,423,996 firm-fixed-price delivery order against a previously issued basic order agreement (N00019-10-G-0004) for spare components of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye low rate initial production, Lots 3 and 4. Work will be performed in Syracuse, N.Y. (54 percent); El Segundo, Calif. (9.6 percent); Bethpage, N.Y. (5.1 percent); Greenlawn, N.Y. (4.4 percent); Owego, N.Y. (3.8 percent); West Chester, Ohio (3.4 percent); Woodland Hills, Calif. (3.2 percent); Irvine, Calif. (3.5 percent); Marlborough, Mass. (2.1 percent); Bayshore, N.Y. (1.8 percent); Cleveland, Ohio (1.3 percent); Davenport, Iowa (1.3 percent); North Hollywood, Calif. (1.1 percent); Horsham, Pa. (0.9 percent); Rome, Italy (0 .7 percent); New Port Richey, Fla. (0.5 percent); and various other locations in the United States (3.3 percent). Work is expected to be completed in August 2016. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $15,343,569 firm-fixed-price order against a previously issued basic order agreement (N00019-10-G-0004) for the procurement, packaging, handling, storage, transportation and delivery of the 146 E-2D avionic units under test in support of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Program. Work will be performed in Syracuse, N.Y. (53 percent); Greenlawn, N.Y. (11 percent); Bethpage, N.Y. (8 percent); Woodland Hills, Calif. (7 percent); Marlborough, Mass. (5 percent); West Chester, Ohio (4 percent); Falls Church, Va. (3 percent); Ronkonkoma, N.Y. (3 percent); Rome, Italy (3 percent); New Port Richey, Fla. (2 percent); and Indianapolis, Ind. (1 percent). Work is expected to be completed in April 2016. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, Owego, N.Y., is being awarded a $13,765,096 firm-fixed-price delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-09-G-0005) for non-recurring and recurring efforts to design, develop, and produce new Automatic Radar Periscope Detection and Discrimination (ARPDD) configured AN/APS 153 (V) retrofit kits in support of the MH-60R aircraft. This order includes the validation and verification effort, all integrated logistic support elements, and the technical directives required to retrofit MH-60R aircraft currently configured with the AN/APS 147 multi mode radar to the new ARPDD configured AN/APS 153 (V) retrofit kit. Kit quantities include eight A-kits; four SEED B-kits; two STD B-kits; two Val/Ver A-kits; and five Antenna Array B-kits. Work will be performed in Farmingdale, N.Y. (70 percent); Owego, N.Y. (29 percent); and various locations throughout the United States (1 percent). Work is expected to be completed in April 2015. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Martin Baker Aircraft Co., Ltd., Higher Denham, Near Uxbridge, Middlesex, England, is being awarded a $21,989,271 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 88 Navy aircrew common ejection seats for F/A-18 series and EA-18G aircraft for the Navy and the government of Kuwait (12 F/A-18A+; 18 F/A-18C; 22 F/A-18E; 12 F/A-18F; and 24 E/A-18G). In addition, this contract provides for the procurement of associated hardware, equipment, technical data, and production support services. Work will be performed in Johnstown, Pa. (60 percent), and Upper Denham, Near Uxbridge, Middlesex, England (40 percent), and is expected to be completed in March 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). This contract combines purchase for the Navy ($21,920,150; 99.69 percent) and, under the Foreign Military Sales Program, the government of Kuwait ($69,121; 0.31 percent). The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-12-C-0066).

Alliant Tech Systems, Woodland Hills, Calif., is being awarded an $8,817,735 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00019-08-C-0058) for services and supplies in support of the Multi-Stage Supersonic Target Program, including procurement of 16 rocket motors to be used for safety and confidence testing, the material characterization program of R7340 graphite material, and long lead buy of armed firing devices and rocket motor cases for future low rate initial production requirements. Work will be performed in Woodland Hills, Calif., and is expected to be completed in April 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
