Second Sexual Assault Victim Identified

LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 16, 2012)—Police have identified a second alleged sexual assault victim in the case of David Alan Dobbs, 54, of Lusby. Detectives from St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations arrested Dobbs on Friday and charged him with 3rd Degree Sex Offense, 4th Degree Sex Offense, and 2nd Degree Assault relating to the April 7 alleged assault of a 13-year-old which occurred at the California Wal-Mart store.

Police say information received during this investigation uncovered a second, unidentified victim assaulted by Dobbs at the California Wal-Mart on April 4. BCI continued its investigation and released the information to the media asking for the public's assistance in identifying the second victim. Police say the quick response and cooperation of the local media and citizens were instrumental in the breakthrough.

Dobbs is currently incarcerated in the Mary's County Detention on $5,000 bond. Charges are pending on Dobbs for the April 4 second degree assault and associated sex offenses.
