LA PLATA, Md. (March 22, 2012)The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ROBBERY: On March 21 at 9:13 p.m., officers responded to Ultra Fuels in the 300 block of Smallwood Drive, Waldorf, for the report of a robbery. Investigation showed the suspect entered the store and picked up a bag of cookies as if he was going to make a purchase. When the clerk opened the register, the suspect displayed a knife and reached in the drawer and stole money. The clerk grabbed some of the currency away from the suspect before he fled. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence. The Criminal Investigations Division will investigate.
DRUG ARREST: On March 16 at 4:30 p.m., officers were working an assignment in the area of Montpelier Drive in Waldorf after receiving information about possible drug activity near the playground. Officers, who were in plain clothes, observed two teen-aged males in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The subjects were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
DRUG ARREST, RECOVERED HANDGUN: On March 15 at 10 p.m., Officer T. Yates observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the 3000 block of Waldorf Market Place. When he approached the driver, he detected the odor of marijuana coming from the car. He also spotted marijuana in plain view. A 9mm handgun, which was loaded, was also recovered from the vehicle. Trenee Lewis, 23, of Baltimore, Brandi Nicole Walston, 23, of Baltimore, and Patrick Joseph Williams, 24, of Waldorf, were arrested and charged with drug possession and possession of a concealed deadly weapon.
DRUG ARREST: On March 14 at 3:20 p.m., officers observed several subjects smoking suspected marijuana near the Smallwood Park and Ride in the 1100 block of Smallwood Drive. Danzell Tyraze Warner, 18, of Nanjemoy, Anthony Davonn Jenkins, 21, of Waldorf, and Markel Lamont Lewis, 22, of no fixed address, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Jenkins also had an open warrant for trespassing. Officer T. Yates investigated.
