LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 12, 2012)The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DRUG ARREST: On March 9, deputies responded to the intersection of Wichshire Drive and Brookstone Way in Lexington Park for a suspicious vehicle. Deputies identified Robert Lee Blevins, 22 of Lexington Park, as the driver. As deputies were speaking with Blevins they noticed suspected marijuana in plain view inside of the passenger compartment of the vehicle. A probable cause search further revealed two small baggies containing suspected marijuana and a smoking device containing suspected marijuana. Blevins was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia. Arresting Officer: Deputy Knott #234.
DRUG ARREST: On March 10, Deputy Ellis was patrolling the area of North Essex Road and Saratoga Drive in Lexington Park when he observed a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at the intersection. Deputy Ellis stopped the vehicle and identified George Alexander Armstrong, 31 of Lexington Park, as the driver. As Deputy Ellis was speaking with Armstrong he noticed a clear plastic baggie on the floorboard. Deputy Ellis also noticed a large quantity of loose tobacco on the seats and floorboard of the vehicle. A consent search of the vehicle was conducted. During the search Deputy Ellis located an additional plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana. Armstrong was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT, SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On March 10, deputies responded to a disturbance on Sandy Bottom Road in Hollywood. Investigation revealed Robert Steven Nelson, Jr., 29 of Hollywood, was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated when Nelson retrieved a butter knife and made a stabbing motion, striking the victim. Nelson fled the residence prior to the arrival of the deputies but was located a short time later. He was arrested and charged with first and second degree assault. THEFT - CRIME SOLVERS: The Sheriff's Office is attempting to identify the man in the photo above who is wanted for questioning in connection to a theft which occurred in February of 2012 at the McKay's Store in Charlotte Hall.
