MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 8, 2012)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, March 3, TFC B. T. Wiesemann conducted a traffic stop on a blue Buick in the area of Maryland Route 5 and Aster Road in Callaway for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, TFC Wiesemann made contact with the operator, Chanel Denise Reeves, 22, of Saint Leonard. While approaching, it was observed that Ms. Reeves was attempting to swallow an unknown object. Also observed in plain view was CDS - Marijuana on both Ms. Reeves person and the vicinity. Ms. Reeves was questioned and subsequently arrested for Possession of CDS. A probable cause search of the vehicle and the occupants were conducted revealing no additional CDS. Ms. Reeves was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, March 6 at 12:47pm, Tpr. S. M. Morton served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15306) on Adelina NMN Garza, 31, of Lusby. The warrant was issued for Ms. Garza's arrest on January 9 by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended Registration. Ms. Garza was located in Calvert County and detained until transferred to Tpr. Morton's custody. Ms. Garza was transported to and served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Tuesday, March 6 at 9:16am, TFC K. D. Lashley conducted a traffic stop on Ford Ranger for a traffic violation in the area of Mechanicsville Road and Yowaski Mill Road. Upon making contact with the operator, Frederico Correa Figueroa, 35, of Mechanicsville, TFC Lashley detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Upon inquiring whether there were illegal items in the vehicle, information and evidence provided by Mr. Figueroa resulted in his arrest for Possession of CDS. Located within the vehicle was both CDS - Marijuana and CDS - Oxycodone. Additionally, it was determined that Mr. Figueroa was operating a vehicle with expired registration and driving on suspended license privileges. Mr. Figueroa was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT LESS THAN $100: On Tuesday, March 6 at 4:15pm, Tpr. W. Couter responded to the Food Lion located on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with a complainant, who advised that a female was observed attempting to conceal items and then exit the store without purchasing the items. The female, identified as Connie Lucille Sell, 43, of Avenue was detained until Law Enforcement arrival. Contact was then made with Ms. Sell regarding the situation. Based on statement provided by Ms. Sell and the information obtained, Ms. Sell was charged with Theft Less Than $100 and issued a Criminal Citation. She was released on scene pending a mandatory court date.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Wednesday, March 7 at 12:15am, Tpr. S. M. Ditoto responded to the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for a reported domestic assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 46, of Lexington Park who advised she was assaulted by Timothy Wayne Bush, 47, of Lexington Park. The complainant advised that the assault took place in the residence and she was struck repeatedly by Mr. Bush prior to being able to call for assistance. Tpr. Ditoto was unable to question the suspect, due to his departure from the scene prior to his arrival. A broadcast was issued for a vehicle that Mr. Bush was believed to be occupying. The lookout resulted in Mr. Bush being located and detained in the area of Maryland Route 246 and Maryland Route 237 a short time later. Information provided by a witness that observed the assault was obtained and Mr. Bush was placed under arrest for Second Degree Assault. He was was intoxicated but cooperative when questioned by Law Enforcement. Mr. Bush was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, March 7 at 5:46pm TFC R. L. Jackson served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15393) on Ronald Devon (Damon) Young, 38, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued on February 28 by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County with a charge of Violation of Probation - DUI. Mr. Young was located in the 21000 block of Great Mills Road and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
