Charles County Sheriff's Reports


LA PLATA, Md. (March 6, 2012)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: Between March 5 - March 6, unknown suspects stole four wheels and rims from an SUV parked in the 2900 block of Old Washington Road in Waldorf. PFC W. Mayhew is investigating.

FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT: On March 5 at 3:51 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Falmouth Road in Waldorf for the report of an assault involving a weapon. Upon arrival, officers learned the suspect, 14, was engaged in an argument with two people with whom she resides. During the argument, the suspect grabbed a knife and threatened the victims - ages 22 and 47. One of the victims grabbed the knife but was injured slightly on her hand as she pulled it away from the suspect. The suspect was charged with assault and remanded to a juvenile facility. Officer P. Morgan III is investigating.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLES: Between March 2- March 3, unknown suspect(s) broke into three cars parked in the 7700 block of Kent Drive in Charlotte Hall and stole money and personal items which were left inside the vehicles overnight. PFC L. Sershen is investigating.

BURGLARY: On March 1 between 6:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 9700 block of Emerald Lane in Newburg and stole money and jewelry. Pfc. J. Walter is investigating.
