LA PLATA, Md. (September 28, 2012)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
STOLEN ATV RECOVERED: On Feb. 24 at 12:30 p.m., officers responded to GRD Cycles at 4420 Crain Highway in White Plains after Laurel City police notified them of a possible stolen ATV on the premises. Officers located the ATV - a 2006 Yamaha Raptor 700 - in the back of the shop having repair work done to it. The ATV had been reported stolen from Laurel City in June 2011 and purchased from GRD in Dec. 2011. PFC S. Cook is investigating.
POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS: On Feb 23 at 12:50 p.m., officers were conducting an investigation into a motor vehicle collision near Crain Highway and Route 6 in La Plata when they discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside one of the involved vehicles. The driver, Kevin Trey Brown, 23, of La Plata, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officer D. Behm made the arrest.
WHEEL AND RIM THEFT: On Feb. 24 at 4:30 a.m., officers responded to the 11500 block of Timberbrook Dr. in Waldorf for the report of a theft. Unknown suspects removed all four wheels from a Chevy Tahoe and left the vehicle sitting on a down spout that had been removed from a house. The suspects may have been driving a white SUV. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating.
ROBBERY: On Feb. 23 at 6:47 p.m., a male suspect entered Cricket Wireless at 11750 Business Park Drive in Waldorf, displayed a knife and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspect fled. The suspect is described as a black male, mid 30's, 6'1", heavy build and may have had silver dental work. Detective B. Buchanan is investigating.
