Local Navy Contract Awards


WASHINGTON (February 25, 2012)—The U.S. Department of Defense this past week announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.

Rolls Royce Corp., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $45,200,467 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-09-D-0020) to exercise an option for contractor logistics services and technical engineering services in support of the KC-130J aircraft propulsion system for the Marine Corps, which includes the AE 2100D3 turboprop engine and the R 391 propeller. No funding is being obligated at time of award. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Ind., and is expected to be completed in February 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

L-3 Services, Inc., Mount Laurel, N.J., is being awarded a $9,536,470 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00421-09-D-0009) to exercise an option for technical and engineering support for the Naval Air Systems Command Structures Division (AIR 4.3), to include data analysis, information systems, and software functions of the Structural Appraisal of Fatigue Effects Program. Funds will be obligated at the individual task order level. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md., and is expected to be completed in February 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Sensor and Antenna Systems, Inc., Lansdale, Pa., is being awarded a $38,956,741 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-10-C-0047) to exercise an option for 48 low band transmitters; 13 vertical polarized antennas; and 28 horizontal polarized antennas associated with the AN/ALQ-99 low band transmitter. Work will be performed in Lansdale, Pa., and is expected to be completed in August 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

EFW, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded an $8,798,016 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-09-C-0057) to provide hardware and installations in support of the Helmet Display Tracking System in the AH-1W helicopters. Work will be performed in Haifa, Israel (66 percent); Melbourne, Fla. (19 percent); and New River, N.C. (15 percent). Work is expected to be completed in March 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $15,450,047 modification against a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00019-06-C-0081) for a fleet common operating environment condition based maintenance plus software toolset in support of the CH-53K helicopter program. In addition, this modification includes installation, operation, and recurring data analysis utilizing the basic and advanced capabilities within the system. No funds will be obligated at the time of award. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md. (90 percent), and Stratford, Conn. (10 percent), and is expected to be completed in February 2018. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
