LEONARDTOWN, Md. (February 9, 2012)The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
THEFT LESS THAN $100: On Thursday, February 2 at 9:27pm, Tpr. S. M. Ditoto responded to the Wal-Mart on Miramar Way in California for a reported theft. Upon arrival to the scene, contact was made with Loss Prevention staff who advised that the subject was observed picking up a DVD and then attempted to exit the establishment without purchasing. The subject was stopped once all points of sale were clear and they had exited the store. The subject, Tomarz Kenyon Parker, 30, of Lusby was returned to the Loss Prevention Office to await the arrival of law enforcement. Contact was made with Mr. Parker by Tpr. Ditoto, following the statement he provided; he was placed under arrest for Theft Less Than $100.00. Mr. Parker was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. All stolen property was returned to Loss Prevention.
DRUG ARREST: On Friday, February 3 at 3:17pm, TFC G. A. Thompson responded to the area of Maryland Route 4 and Maryland Route 235 to assist Sgt. J. L. Linger with a probable cause search of a vehicle. Upon arrival, Sgt. Linger informed TFC Thompson of the cause for the stop, and that upon making contact with the occupants he detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. TFC Thompson had the passenger of the vehicle, Dennis Alverna Mack, Jr., 28, of Middle River exit the vehicle for a probable cause search. The search revealed CDS on Mr. Mack as well as CDS Paraphernalia in the vehicle. Mr. Mack was subsequently arrested for Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, February 6 at 1:45pm, TFC J. S. Gibson served a Bench Warrant (T3-15344) on Kathryn Ann Heberle, 32, of Port Republic. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License on February 1 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Ms. Heberle turned herself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, February 7 at 11:15am, TFC J. R. Stern served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15354) on Donald Ray Millsaps, III, 33, of California. The warrant was issued for Mr. Millsaps arrest on February 3 as a result of a Grand Jury Indictment for Sex Abuse of a Minor. Mr. Millsaps was located at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was already incarcerated. He was served and remained held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, February 7 at 4:10pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton served a Bench Warrant (T3-15347) on James Arnold Stewart, 23, of Chaptico. The warrant was issued for Mr. Stewart's arrest on February 1 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Stewart turned himself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
