LA PLATA, Md. (February 7, 2012)The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
HELP NEEDED IDENTIFYING ROBBERY SUSPECT: CCSO detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of robbing a convenience store on Smallwood Drive in Waldorf in November. The suspect entered the business, approached the counter as if he were going to purchase an item and told the clerk he had a weapon. He threatened the employee and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled. The suspect is described as a white male, 5'10", slim build, wearing a 2007 blue Colonial Beach Drag Ways jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. THEFT: Sometime between Feb 1 - Feb 4, unknown suspect(s) stole parts from an air conditioning unit in the 1300 block of Wilson Road in Waldorf. The house was vacant and the theft was discovered by a neighbor. Officer S. Chandler is investigating.
FUEL THEFTS: The Charles County Sheriff's Office is investigating thefts in which the suspect(s) drilled holes into two vehicles parked in a parking lot in the 4100 block of Falcon Place in Waldorf and stole fuel. Fuel was stolen from a 2002 Ford Explorer sometime between 7 p.m. Feb. 2 and 8:40 a.m. Feb. 3 and from a Chevrolet HHR between 5 p.m. Feb. 2 and 7:30 a.m. Feb.3. THEFT: Sometime between 11 p.m. Jan. 7 and 10:44 p.m. Feb. 2, suspect(s) stole the heat pump from a vacant residence in the 1200 block of Bannister Circle in Waldorf. A Charles County Sheriff's officer patrolling the neighborhood discovered the theft. THEFT: Sometime between Dec. 30, 2011 and Feb. 1, suspect(s) stole a red portable generator from Bel Alton Community Center located at 9501Crain Highway in Bel Alton.
