St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (January 12, 2012)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On January 10, Deputy Beasley responded to Peebles Department Store in Lexington Park for a theft report. Investigation revealed Tiara Lavaughn Wallace, 22, of Lexington Park, an employee of Peebles was canceling sales after ringing merchandise for customers and letting the customers leave the store without paying for the items. A loss prevention investigator for Peebles Corporation reviewed sales receipts and store surveillance and determined Wallace stole more than $12,000 of merchandise beginning in November 2011. Deputy Beasley arrested Wallace and charged her with Theft and Theft Scheme.

Keanna Marie Biscoe, 16, of Lexington Park, Md.ASSAULT FIRST DEGREE: On January 10, deputies responded to a fight with a stabbing at Food Lion on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park. Investigation revealed three females entered the store and began attacking the victim who was inside. During the attack one of the females produced a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times. A second victim attempted to intervene on behalf of the victim and was also stabbed. After viewing store video surveillance, the three were identified by an officer who recognized them from previous interaction. Keanna Marie Biscoe, 16, of Lexington Park, pictured above, was arrested by Deputy Ruest and charged as an adult with two counts of First Degree Assault and two counts of Second Degree Assault. The other two juveniles, ages 15 and 13, from Lexington Park, were arrested and charged as juveniles with two counts of First and Second Degree Assault. The first victim was flown to Prince Georges Shock Trauma and the second victim was transported to St. Mary's Hospital. Both victims were treated and have been released from the hospitals.

Jonathan M. Barnes, age 19, of Callaway, Md.BUSINESSES BURGLARIZED IN CALLAWAY: On December 9, 2011 at 12:42 a.m., police units responded to an alarm at a business located in Callaway. Upon arrival officers observed two of the businesses had been burglarized. During processing of the crime scene by Crime Lab Technicians evidence was recovered indicating the suspect may have been injured while committing the burglaries. A short time later, while investigating a separate robbery in the Callaway area, officers located a suspect with an injury to his hand.

Detectives from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) assumed the investigations and subsequently linked the suspect from the robbery to the burglaries in Callaway. Detectives executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence in Callaway and obtained additional evidence pertaining to the burglaries. An arrest warrant was obtained for Jonathan M. Barnes, age 19, of Callaway, pictured above.

On January 9, 2012 at 11:55 p.m., police units located Barnes in Lexington Park and placed him under arrest. Barnes was charged with 2 counts of Burglary, Second Degree, 2 counts of Theft under $1000.00, 2 counts of Malicious Destruction of Property over $500.00 and Malicious Destruction Scheme over $500.00. Barnes was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.

Donald R. Millsaps, age 33, of Lexington Park, Md.SEXUAL ABUSE OF A CHILD: Detectives from BCI and the St. Mary's County Department of Social Services were notified of an allegation of suspected sexual abuse of a child which occurred in December 2009. A joint investigation was conducted which led to the arrest of Donald R. Millsaps, age 33, of Lexington Park, pictured above left. Millsaps was charged with Child Sexual Abuse, Second Degree Sexual Offense and incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center under a $40,000 bond.

Ivan Earl Nealy, age 33, of Mechanicsville, Md.WANTED PERSON: The BCI Domestic Violence Unit is seeking the public's assistance in locating Ivan Earl Nealy, age 33, of Mechanicsville, pictured at left. Nealy is 5-08, 175 lbs and known to frequent areas in Mechanicsville and Virginia. Nealy is wanted on warrants obtained by the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office for Stalking, Harassment, Witness Intimidation, and multiple protective order violations.

Derrick Justin Connolly, age 25, of Lexington Park, Md.WANTED PERSON: The BCI Domestic Violence Unit is seeking the public's assistance in locating Derrick Justin Connolly, age 25, of Lexington Park, pictured at left. Connolly is 6-02, 245 lbs. Connolly is wanted on warrants obtained by the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office for multiple domestic related burglaries, assault, threats and other related crimes. Connolly is known to frequent the Lexington Park and Lusby areas.
