Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (January 4, 2012)—The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WEEKLY SUMMARY: During the week of December 26 through January 1, deputies responded to 1,542 calls for service throughout the community.

TRESPASSING: On December 27 at 6:10 p.m. DFC J. Norton responded to the Prince Frederick Safeway store for the report of a trespasser. A store employee advised that a white male had been in front of the store asking people for money and cigarettes. The man was told numerous times by employees to leave the area but he did not. DFC Norton made contact with the man, later identified as Aaron Michael Ballard, 28 of no fixed address. He was arrested and charged with trespassing.

DRUG ARREST: On December 27 at 10:22 p.m. after conducting a traffic stop on southbound Md. Rt. 4 near Hoile Lane in Huntingtown, Dep. G. Gott found the driver of the vehicle to be in possession of suspected drugs. Gott arrested David William Deangelis, 43 of Huntingtown, and charged him with possession of marijuana.

DRUG ARREST: On December 27 at 10:59 p.m. on H.G. Trueman Road in Lusby DFC W. Wells made a traffic stop and discovered the driver to be in possession of suspected drugs. He arrested Kiahna Arnita Washington, 18 of Lusby, and charged her with possession of marijuana.

DRUG ARREST: DFC T. Rickard arrested two people on December 28 at 4:00 p.m. on Long Beach Road and Regency Drive in St. Leonard after a traffic stop. The driver, Robert Francis Harvey, 22 of Prince Frederick, and Zachary Samuel Branch, 23 of Baltimore, were each charged with possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, rolling papers, and possession of marijuana.

DRUG ARREST: On December 28 at 8:08 p.m. Dep. P. Mosely responded to the area of Md. Rt. 4 and White Sands Drive in Lusby for the report of a possible drunk driver. He observed a vehicle stopped on the side of the road with the engine running and made contact with the driver. Mosely arrested Ali Christine Morrison, 38 of Draden, and charged her with possession of a schedule IV drug, Alprazolam, and two counts of possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a plastic straw and a pill crusher.

BURGLARY: A home on Bay Blvd. in Huntingtown was burglarized sometime overnight between December 28 and 29. DFC D. Deakins is investigating the theft of $600 worth of jewelry. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Deakins at 410-535-2800 or Calvert County Crime Solvers at 410-535-2880.

THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) destroyed an outside air conditioning unit to cut away the copper piping. The theft and destruction is valued at $2000 that occurred outside a home on Arbor Way in Owings sometime between December 15 and 29. DFC D. Deakins is investigating.

DRUG ARREST: On December 29 at 11:35 p.m. Dep. P. Mosely conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on H.G. Trueman Road near Cove Point Road in Lusby. He found the driver, later identified as Ryan Daniel Lavender, 29 of St. Leonard, to appear to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. While attempting to place Lavender under arrest, Lavender resisted. Lavender was charged with driving under the influence, driving while intoxicated and resisting a lawful arrest.
