St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (December 27, 2011)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On December 20, deputies responded to a residence on Hancock Road in Lexington Park for an assault report. Investigation revealed Andrew Antoine Ausby, 23, of Lexington Park, and the victim were involved in a verbal argument which escalated into a physical assault when Ausby grabbed, pushed and slapped the victim. Deputy Beyer arrested Ausby and charged him with Second Degree Assault.

RESISTING ARREST: On December 25, deputies responded to a residence on Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville for a warrant service. Upon arrival, Corporal Somerville observed Jason Walter Carter, 30, of Mechanicsville, exit his residence and then flee back inside upon observing police. Deputies made entry into the residence and arrested Carter. As Carter was being escorted out of the residence, he began pulling away from officers and kicking. Carter was placed in a patrol vehicle for transport to the detention center. During transport, Carter struck the Plexiglas partition several times with his head causing the partition to crack. Carter was charged with Resisting Arrest and Malicious Destruction of Property.

SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On December 26, deputies responded to a local bar on Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville for a report of a fight in the parking lot. Deputy Milam observed Kienna Sharese Curtis, 20, of Temple Hills, yelling and pointing her finger at the victim. Deputy Milam ordered Curtis to leave the establishment. Curtis began leaving but then turned back and continued to yell and spit toward the victim. Deputy Milam told Curtis she was under arrest and attempted to handcuff her. Curtis pulled away and was walking towards the cars in the parking lot. Deputy Milam, aided by other officers, was able to apprehend Curtis. Curtis was charged with Assault Second Degree and Disorderly Conduct.
