LEONARDTOWN, Md. (December 16, 2011)The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.
BURGLARY: On December 7, Sergeant Butler responded to the Waste Water/Sewer Treatment Plant, located on Van Wert Lane in Leonardtown for a burglary report. Investigation revealed several water meters had been stolen from a shed located on the property. The victim valued the loss at approximately $3,800. On December 12, a representative from Super Salvage Scrap Metal Recycling Facility located in Prince Frederick contacted Sergeant Butler and reported they received the stolen property at their location. Sergeant Butler responded to Super Salvage and viewed video tape showing two subjects bringing in the stolen water meters. Sergeant Butler was able to identify the two subjects as Kyle Stephen Fink, 19, and Brandon Henry Underwood, 18, both of Leonardtown. Sergeant Butler arrested Fink and Underwood. They were charged with Second Degree Burglary and Theft.
DRUG ARREST: On December 12, Deputy Worrey responded to the Carter Building, 23110 Baldridge Street, Leonardtown for a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) violation. Investigation revealed Andre O'Brien, 27, of Lexington Park, was entering the Carter Building when a bag containing suspected marijuana fell from the front of his pants. A court security officer who witnessed this, retrieved the suspected marijuana and contacted police. Deputy Worrey located O'Brien in the Parole and Probation Office and placed him under arrest. O'Brien was charged with possession of CDS.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On December 13, deputies responded to a residence on Columbus Drive in Lexington Park for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Christopher Anthony Robinson, 28, of Lexington Park, was involved in an argument with the victim which escalated when Robinson pushed the victim to the ground and hit the victim in the face. Deputy First Class Reese arrested Robinson and charged him with Second Degree Assault.
DRUG ARREST: On December 13, at approximately 11:45 hours, Deputy Ellis conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Missouri Avenue and South Shangri-La Drive in Lexington Park. When Deputy Ellis made contact with the driver and occupants, he detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During a probable cause search of the driver identified as Trevone Damone Butler, 21, of Lexington Park. Deputy Ellis located a baggie of suspected marijuana in Butler's jacket pocket. A further search of the vehicle revealed a baggie containing suspected crack cocaine on the passenger seat where passenger, James Eric Dorsey, 18, of Lexington Park, had been sitting. Butler and Dorsey were arrested and charged with CDS possession.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On December 14, two victims arrived at St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office to report an assault. Investigation revealed Robert Barton Whitley, 38, of Avenue, became involved in a verbal argument with the victim. The argument escalated when Whitley grabbed the victim by the hair throwing the victim to the ground. A third party witness attempted to intervene and was kicked in the back and struck in the face by Whitley. Deputy Flerlage responded to the residence, arrested Whitley and charged him with two counts of Second Degree Assault.
