PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (November 28, 2011)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE COCAINE AND PHENCYCLIDINE: On 11/20/2011 at 10:15 am, Trooper First Class Sorenson stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 at Town Center Blvd. in Dunkirk. During a search of the vehicle, a large amount of cocaine and phencyclidine were located. A large amount of cash was also seized. Phillip Q. Lewis, 29 of Upper Marlboro, was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
AIRPLANE CRASH: On 11/20/2011 at 6:23 pm, Trooper First Class Gill responded to the Chesapeake Ranch Airport in Lusby for a reported airplane crash. An airplane attempting to land, struck several tress and then made contact with the grassy portion of the airfield coming to rest approximately 150 yards from the initial point of contact. Investigation continues.
BURGLARY: On 11/22/2011 at 10:55 pm, Trooper First Class Johns responded to the 4200 block of Broomes Island Rd. in Port Republic in reference to a reported burglary. A Stihl Chainsaw, Hatachi cordless drill, and other tools were stolen from the open bed of a truck. Investigation continues.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 11/23/2011 at 4:23 am, Trooper First Class Johns responded to the 7700 block of Pine Blvd. in Lusby for a reported theft from motor vehicle. A wallet and its contents and a bike were removed from the victim's vehicle. Investigation continues.
THEFT: On 11/24/2011 at 8:31 pm, Trooper Esnes responded to the 11200 block of Lakeside Dr. in Dunkirk for a reported theft. Numerous tool items were removed from the residence and a walk-in closet ceiling was damaged. Investigation continues.
ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFICER: On 11/24/2011 at 11:59 pm, Trooper First Class Lewis and Trooper Barlow stopped to assist a motorist on Rt. 261 west of Rt. 260 in Chesapeake Beach. The passenger, Teresa A. Linton, 42 of Chesapeake Beach, became very combative and kicked TFC Lewis in the leg. She was arrested and incarcerated to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 11/25/2011 at 12: 10 am, Trooper Esnes stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 west of Dares Beach Rd. in Prince Frederick. A search of the vehicle revealed that the driver was in possession of marijuana. Andrew A. Nichols, 21 of College Park was arrested and incarcerated in the Calvert County Detention Center.
THEFT: On 11/26/2011 at 10:00 am, Trooper First Class Landis responded to the 8700 block of E St. in Chesapeake Beach for a reported theft. Copper lines were stolen from the inside of two air conditioning units. Investigation continues.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 11/26/2011 at 1:15 pm, Trooper First Class Saucerman responded to the 500 block of Stamper Ct. in Prince Frederick for a reported destruction of property. The suspect threw a 3 pound dumbbell at the victim's vehicle, causing damage. Investigation continues.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 11/26/2011 at 7:46 pm, Trooper Lewis responded to the 400 block of Dogwood Dr. in Lusby to check the welfare of the occupants. Christopher M. Staley, 20 of Lusby, became very irate and argumentative. Troopers made contact with Staley and during their contact with him, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were observed in the room. He was arrested and charged.
THEFT: On 11/27/2011 at 11:40 am, Trooper First Class Saucerman responded to the 2000 block of Park Chesapeake Rd. in Lusby for a reported theft. A large sum of money was stolen from the victim's desk. Investigation continues.
