LEONARDTOWN, Md. (November 15, 2011)The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DRUG ARREST: On Monday, October 31 at 8:21pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded to the 23000 block of Gross Drive in California for a CDS complaint. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complaint, 40, of California who advised she located CDS in a juvenile's room located in her residence. The complainant provided TFC Pilkerton with details leading up to the discovery of the CDS and information as to how the juvenile could be located. TFC Pilkerton then responded to the 23000 block of Dynard Hurry Road in Chaptico where he made contact with a female juvenile, 15, of Chaptico. Information provided by the juvenile resulted in her arrest and being charged accordingly. She was released on scene to a guardian pending further action by juvenile services.
ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Monday, October 31 at 9:30pm, TFC E. M. Evans responded to the 22000 block of St. Gabriel's Circle in Great Mills for a reported domestic assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 31, of Great Mills who advised she was involved in a physical altercation with James Kelly Butler, 34, of Great Mills. According to the complainant, she and a male juvenile, 13, of Great Mills were both assaulted by Mr. Butler after he forced entry into the residence. Mr. Butler, after previously fleeing before police arrival, returned to the scene and made contact with TFC Evans. Mr. Butler appeared to be intoxicated and had also visible injuries. He was transported to the St. Mary's Hospital for treatment of a laceration on his hand and then placed under arrest for Second Degree Assault. Mr. Butler was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT, DRUG ARREST: On Wednesday, November 2 at 5:16pm, TFC E. M. Evans responded for a reported suspicious person in the 45000 block of Worth Avenue in California. Upon arrival, TFC Evans made contact with a male subject identified as, Christopher Lee Cotsford, 29, of Waldorf. While speaking with Mr. Cotsford, the odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected emitting from his breath. Mr. Cotsford was causing a disturbance in the area and after numerous requests for him to refrain from shouting obscenities; Mr. Cotsford was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Cotsford was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where a secondary search was performed revealing CDS in his right shoe. Mr. Cotsford was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, November 3 at 2:05am, Tpr. O. Tchi Ngambu conducted a traffic stop on a Jaguar sedan in the area of Lawrence Avenue in Leonardtown for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the vehicle, it was determined to be occupied numerous times, and the odor of burnt marijuana was detected emitting from it. A probable cause search of the vehicle and its occupants was conducted, revealing that Donald Anthony Somerville, 54, of Mechanicsville was in possession of CDS. The CDS and Paraphernalia was located in Mr. Somerville's left shoe. No additional CDS was located in the vehicle or on the other occupants. Mr. Somerville was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER: On Thursday, November 3 at 9:35am, Tpr. E. R. Mersman stopped a silver Dodge in the area of Maryland Route 245 and Maryland Route 235 for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the vehicle, Tpr. Mersman identified all occupants by their identification. A MVA query of a female driver, 58, of Piney Point, revealed she was the protected person in an active Protective Order. The protective order was against Aloysius Charles Guy, Jr., 49, of Mechanicsville, the passenger of the vehicle. Mr. Guy was detained until the status of the order could be confirmed. Upon confirmation of the order's status, Mr. Guy was placed under arrest for Violation of Protective Order. Mr. Guy was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, November 3 at 6:47pm, Tpr. S. M. Morton served a Fugitive Arrest Warrant (T3-15209) on LaQuesha Nicola Countiss, 20, of Waldorf. The warrant was issued on November 3 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Ms. Countiss was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she will remain in custody until extradited to Pennsylvania.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, November 10 at 5:35am, TFC E. M. Evans served a Bench Warrant (T3-15197) on Fredy Herman Eatmon, II, 46, of Washington, D.C. The warrant was issued for Mr. Eatmon's arrest on October 27 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Theft Less Than $1000.00. Mr. Eatmon was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, November 13 at 2:45am, TFC J. S. Gibson served a Bench Warrant (T3-15213) on Jean Marie Dennison, 51, of Nichols, New York. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Charles County on June 25, 2009 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Ms. Dennison was located in the area of Maryland Route 5 and Maryland Route 236 and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, November 13 at 12:07pm, Tpr. S. M. Ditoto served an Arrest Warrant (T3-14958) on James Levi Chase, 33, of Callaway. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Motor Vehicle Unlawful Taking on May 20 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Chase was located in the area of Forest Run Drive in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
