Theobalds Elevated to Deputy County Attorney Position
LA PLATA, Md. (November 2, 2011)—The Charles County Commissioners have selected Ms. Barbara Loveless Holtz to fill the County Attorney position for Charles County Government. Ms. Holtz has been serving as the Interim County Attorney since June 28.
"Ms. Holtz has exceeded our expectations in all aspects of leadership within the County Attorney's Office. I'm pleased that she has agreed to remain with us long term. " stated Commissioner President Candice Quinn Kelly.
Prior to coming to Charles County Government, Ms. Holtz spent more than 30 years working for Prince George's County Government, including 23 years in the Office of Law as Associate County Attorney; Deputy County Attorney for Opinion/Advice, Legislation, and Administration; and County Attorney.
"For the Commissioners to have placed such faith in me is a tremendous honor. I am eagerly looking forward to this challenging and rewarding opportunity," said Ms. Holtz.
Ms. Elizabeth Theobalds, formerly an Assistant County Attorney, will now serve as the Deputy County Attorney.
