MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (October 27, 2011)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES: On 10/17/11 at 11:46 am, Trooper First Class Johns responded to the 12400 block of Coyote Court in Lusby for a reported theft from vehicles. Numerous vehicles were broken into and miscellaneous items were stolen. Investigation continues.

THEFT: On 10/19/11 at 7:38 am, Trooper Esnes responded to Calvert Pines in Prince Frederick for a subject refusing to pay fare for his bus ride. Robert P. Holland, 20 of Prince Frederick, was charges on a Criminal Citation and released.

DUI, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 10/20/11 at 11:38 pm, Trooper Smith stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 4 at Mulberry Drive in Prince Frederick. William J. Horton, 20 of California, was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 10/20/11 at 5:58 pm, Trooper First Class West stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 260 at Limerick Lane in Chesapeake Beach. A search of the vehicle revealed that the driver was in possession of Marijuana. George O'Haran, 22 of Mechanicsville, was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

FALSE STATEMENT TO POLICE OFFICER, DUI: On 10/22/11 at 6:23 am, Trooper Costello stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 4 at the Navy Rec. Center in Solomons. During the traffic stop, Charles E. McGinty, 33 of Lexington Park, gave the officer a false identification. He was arrested for DUI and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF PCP: On 10/22/11 at 11:49 pm, Trooper Costello stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 at Rousby Hall Rd. in Lusby. A search of the vehicle revealed that the driver was in possession of Phencyclidine (PCP). John T. Harris, Jr., 28 of Prince Frederick, was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT: On 10/23/11 at 4:44 pm, Trooper First Class Lewis responded to a theft complaint on All Day Rd. in Huntingtown. Suspects were caught attempting to steal a boat from a pond. Pamela B. Dwier, 53; Barbara J. Lowe, 28, both of Huntingtown; and Robert W. Reed Jr. 30 of Woodbridge, Va., were charged with Trespassing and Theft. A juvenile also involved and was charged with Trespassing and Theft.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 10/23/11 at 11:42 pm, Trooper First Class Lewis stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 at Lord Baltimore Road in Owings. Daniel L. Torres, 22 of Lusby, was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and incarcerated in the Calvert County Detention Center.

DRUG ARREST: On 10/24/11 at 4:57 pm, Trooper First Class Gill stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Chisolm Trail at Thunderbird Dr. in Lusby. A search of the vehicle revealed Marijuana. Michael J. Straughan, 27 of Hollywood was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
