MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (October 21, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Saturday, October 15 at 12:04am, TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded Toots Bar in the 23000 block of Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, TFC Pilkerton and Tpr. W. A. Couter observed Christine Jean Goldsmith, 42, of Leonardtown, and a male subject being escorted out of the establishment by personnel. TFC Pilkerton and Tpr. Couter made contact with Ms. Goldsmith and ascertained that she was standing by for a ride from the location. Ms. Goldsmith was advised that she remain off the property of the establishment until the arrival of her ride. Ms. Goldsmith did not adhere to that instruction and subsequently approached the parking lot and became involved in a physical confrontation with a male victim, 61, of Hollywood. TFC Pilkerton and Tpr. Couter observed Ms. Goldsmith assault the victim and attempted to diffuse the situation. Ms. Goldsmith continued to be disorderly and combative drawing attention to the scene. The male subject that was escorted from Toots Bar also became disorderly and was handled by Deputies from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department that arrived on scene to assist. After a short struggle, Ms. Goldsmith was successful placed under arrest. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, October 15 at 8:38am, TFC E. J. Page conducted a traffic stop on a black Toyota in the area of Maryland Route 237 and Clipper Drive in Lexington Park for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, TFC Page made contact with the operator Jamakah Rashan Crockett, 21, of Lexington Park. While speaking with Ms. Crockett, TFC Page detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted revealing CDS in the center console of the vehicle. Ms. Crockett was subsequently placed under arrest for Possession of CDS - Marijuana and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Sunday, October 16 at 9:48am, TFC M. J. Pitcher responded to the 21000 block of Barkentine Court in Great Mills for a reported accident. While on the scene of the accident, TFC Pitcher was contacted by a female complainant, 35, of Clements, who advised she was assaulted earlier in the day in the area of Rumsford Lane in California. The complainant provided an account of the incident and information on the suspect to TFC Pitcher. Upon clearing the scene, TFC Pitcher responded to the 46000 block of Orchid Way in Lexington Park where he made contact with Joshua Alexander Mason, 28, of Clements, the suspect in the assault. Based on information provided by Mr. Mason and information previously provided by the female complainant, Mr. Mason was placed under arrest for Second Degree Assault. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, October 16 at 6:30pm, TFC M. A. Moore served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-14900) on Ryan Patterson Foss, 25, of Waldorf. The warrant was issued as a result of a Grand Jury Indictment for First Degree Assault on April 14 by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Foss was located and detained in Charles County prior to being transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Sunday, October 16 at 11:42pm, TFC J. G. Fleetwood responded to the 48000 block of Compass Circle in Lexington Park for a reported Domestic Disturbance. Upon arrival, TFC Fleetwood observed an ajar door that appeared to have recently been damaged. Contact was made with a female complainant, 44, of Lexington Park who advised she was involved in a physical dispute with a male subject. The complainant advised that she was assaulted by the subject who later left the residence. Based on information provided by the complainant, and a witness, TFC Fleetwood responded to the 22000 block of Three Notch Road where he made contact with Marcus Tyrone Harris, Jr., 29, of Lexington Park. Mr. Harris was placed under arrest for Second Degree Assault and Malicious Destruction of Property. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, October 18 at 5:00pm, Tpr. S. M. Morton served a Bench Warrant (T3-15007) on Katelyn L. Beavers, 25, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued on June 23 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of CDS Possession - Paraphernalia. Ms. Beavers was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, October 19 at 2:45am, TFC J. S. Gibson served a Bench Warrant (T3-15165) on Stacy Lynn Sboto, 35, of Callaway. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Failing to Obey All Laws on October 6 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Ms. Sboto was located in the 20000 block of Roh Ranch Lane in Callaway and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
