LEONARDTOWN, Md. (October 17, 2011)The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, October 13 at 8:25am, TFC E. J. Page served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15168) on Joseph Carmine Furio, Jr., 23, of California. The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of Baltimore County on October 3. Mr. Furio was wanted for Violation of Probation. He was located in the 44000 block of Shady Hollow Lane in California and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Mr. Furio was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, October 13 at 1:56pm, Tpr. E. T. Reuschling served a Bench Warrant (T3-15163) on Charles Edward Taylor, III, 25, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on October 4 with an original charge of Credit Card: Steal Another's. Mr. Taylor was located while already incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Thursday, October 13 at 4:25pm, TFC N. E. Gresko while in the area of the 45000 block of Spring Valley Drive in Lexington Park on an unrelated matter observed an altercation between a male subject, 26, of Loveville and female subject. The male subject was attempting to leave the scene, but was being assaulted by the female. As TFC Gresko approached the altercation, he observed the female subject, later identified as Janiece LaKeisha Eppes, 28, of Lexington Park, continue to assault the male subject. Ms. Eppes was placed under arrest for Second Degree Assault. Ms. Eppes was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, October 13 at 5:05pm, TFC J. G. Fleetwood served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15125) on Keith Randall Nelson, 37, of Avenue. The warrant was issued on September 12 with a charge of Conspire - Theft $1,000.00 to $10,000.00 by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Nelson was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, October 13 at 9:20pm, Sgt. C. A. Tyer served a Bench Warrant (T3-15157) on James Phillip Jenkins, 30, of Lexington Park. The warrant for Mr. Jenkins arrest was issued on September 30 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License and Exceeding Maximum Speed. Mr. Jenkins was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, October 13 at 9:45pm, TFC J. G. Fleetwood served a Bench Warrant (T3-15177) on Casey E. Reed, 31, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued on October 12 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Reed was located in the 25000 block of Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, October 14 at 8:51am. TFC E. J. Page served a Bench Warrant (T3-15025) on Brandon Albert Mason - Robinson, 23, of Lusby. The warrant was issued on July 6 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Mason - Robinson was located in the 45000 block of Chancellors Run Court and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Friday, October 14 at 1:16pm, TFC N. E. Gresko conducted a traffic stop on a Geo Prism in the area of Maryland Route 237 and Clipper Drive for a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle and identifying the operator and passenger, TFC Gresko detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle and its occupants was conducted. The search of the passenger had negative results. However, the search of the vehicle revealed CDS, ownership of the item resulted in the arrest of Zachary Micah Sawyer, 21, of Great Mills. A search of Mr. Sawyer's person also revealed CDS - Marijuana concealed in the waistband of his pants. Mr. Sawyer was transported from the scene to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
