LA PLATA, Md. (October 6, 2011)The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
PATROL OFFICER ARRESTS THEFT SUSPECT: On Oct. 5 at 12:30 p.m., officers responded to Lowes at 2525 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of a theft in progress in which the suspect fled the area in a gray Dodge pick-up truck. Officer J. Morales responded and observed the suspect vehicle on Lake Drive where he initiated a traffic stop. Upon approaching the car, Officer Morales observed a purse full of copper adapters and couplings that had been stolen from the store. In addition, he found heroin and paraphernalia inside the truck. Colleen Marie Arnold, 27, of Dunkirk was arrested and charged with theft and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Oct. 5 between 8:30 a.m. - 12:55 p.m., unknown suspect(s) broke off the door handle of a vehicle which was parked in the 15000 block of Oaks Road in Charlotte Hall. Officer L. Sershen is investigating.
SUSPECT CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF DEADLY WEAPON: On Oct. 4 at 10 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of Heathcoat Road in Waldorf for the report of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers observed two subjects quickly hide behind a fence. As officers approached, they observed one of the suspects place an object on the ground. A loaded handgun was recovered and the suspect, Kameron Shaquille Marable, 20, of Waldorf was arrested. He was charged with possession of a handgun. PFC W. Saunders made the arrest.
