MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (September 30, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, September 25 at 5:25pm, Tpr. E. T. Reuschling served a Bench Warrant (T3-15147) on Kenneth Thomas Gunning, 55, of Waldorf. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Attempted Theft Less Than $100.00 on September 22 by the District Court of Charles County. Mr. Gunning was located on a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 237 and Maryland Route 246, upon confirmation of the warrant Mr. Gunning was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, September 26 at 3:45pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton served a Bench Warrant (T3-15145) on Sara Mae Hornig, 23, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of CDS Possession Marijuana / CDS Possession Paraphernalia on September 23. Ms. Hornig turned herself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, September 26 at 4:12pm, TFC J. R. Stern served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15037) on Derrick Alan Boyd, Sr., 41, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County on July 11 with a charge of First Degree Assault as a result of a Grand Jury Indictment. Mr. Boyd was extradited from the Virginia Area on September 26 after being apprehended on September 20. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE, DRUG ARREST: On Monday, September 26 at 5:30pm, Tpr. E. T. Reuschling served an Arrest Warrant (T3-15148) on Gary Bernard Johnson, 48, of an Unknown Fixed Address. The warrant was issued with an original charge of First Degree Burglary on September 26 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Johnson was located in the area of First Colony Way in California and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. While en route to the Detention Center, Mr. Johnson informed Tpr. Reuschling that he had CDS on his person. A search of Mr. Johnson's person revealed a Marijuana cigarette. He was served and charged accordingly in regards to the CDS. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, September 26 at 8:05pm, TFC E. J. Page served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15119) on Curtis Rouse, 47, of Capitol Heights. The warrant was issued for Mr. Rouse's arrest on August 24 by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County for Violation of Probation. Mr. Rouse was transferred to the St. Mary's County Detention Center from the Maryland Department of Corrections. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, September 27 at 4:00pm, TFC N. E. Gresko served a Bench Warrant (T3-15075) on Donnie Richardson, 36, of Clinton. The warrant was issued on August 5 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving While Impaired by Alcohol. Mr. Richardson turned himself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, September 28 at 2:40pm, Tpr. E. T. Reuschling served a Bench Warrant (T3-15099) on John Robert Townshend, 52, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on August 18 with an original charge of CDS Possession - Not Marijuana, Resisting Arrest and Attempting to Elude Uniformed Officer by Fleeing on Foot. Mr. Townshend turned himself into the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was placed under arrest until the Trooper's arrival. Mr. Townshend was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, September 28 at 10:15pm, TFC N. E. Gresko served a Bench Warrant (T3-15137) on Stephanie Jeanne Rice, 22, of Mechanicsville. The warrant for Ms. Rice's arrest was issued with an original charge of Second Degree Assault on September 16 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Ms. Rice was located in Mechanicsville and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
