St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (September 28, 2011)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On September 23, James Devon Pixley, 21, of Leonardtown, was stopped by K-9 Corporal Todd Fleenor for operating an all terrain vehicle on the roadway. Corporal Fleenor contacted Pixley and observed a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana next to Pixley on the ground. Deputy Hawks responded to assist Corporal Fleenor. Pixley was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

ASSAULT: On September 26 at approximately 7:00 p.m., deputies responded to a residence on Ball Point Road in Piney Point for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Dennis Martin Evans, 43, of Piney Point, engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Evans punched the victim in the face multiple times. Evans was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

THEFT: On September 26, Jalisha Lashawn Morgan, 21, and Anatasia Tecoy Oliver, 19, both of Lexington Park, entered the K-Mart store located in California. A loss prevention officer observed Morgan and Oliver take merchandise into a dressing room. A short time later Morgan and Oliver exited the dressing room without the merchandise. The Loss Prevention Officer searched the dressing rooms but was unable to locate the merchandise. Morgan and Oliver passed all points of purchase and were attempting to leave the store when they were confronted by store security. The prevention officer subsequently located the stolen merchandise concealed in Morgan's and Oliver's purses. Sgt. Eric Walker responded and arrested Morgan and Oliver. Both subjects were charged with Theft.
