St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (September 26, 2011)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On September 21, a woman identified as Donita Rochelle Young, 19, of Mechanicsville, entered the K-Mart store in California. A loss prevention officer observed Young place merchandise in her purse and pass all points of purchase. Young was attempting to leave the store when she was detained by loss prevention personnel who called police. Deputy Trevor Teague arrived on the scene and arrested Young. She was charged with theft.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH A PEACE ORDER: On September 21 at approximately 5:20 p.m., Deputy William Waters served a peace order on Aloysius Charles Guy, Jr., 48, of Mechanicsville, ordering he have no contact with the petitioner. At 5:38 p.m. Guy violated the conditions of the order by calling the victim while Deputy William Watters was still on the scene. Guy was arrested and charged with failure to comply with a peace order.

THEFT: On September 24, two females identified as Tyesha Navette Williams, 18, and Tania Latoya Knight, 21, both of Lexington Park, entered the Wal-Mart store located in California. A loss prevention officer observed Williams and Knight placing merchandise into a pink gym bag. The two women passed all points of purchase and exited the store without paying for the merchandise. Williams and Knight were confronted by the loss prevention officer who detained them and called the police. Corporal David Corcoran responded and arrested Williams and Knight. During a search incident to arrest, Cpl. Corcoran located additional stolen items in Williams' purse. Both subjects were charged with Theft.
