PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (September 8, 2011)The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WEEKLY SUMMARY: During the week of August 29 through September 4, deputies responded to 1,762 calls for service throughout the community.
BURGLARY: Sometime between August 30 and 31, unknown suspect(s) entered the unsecured door of a home on Bandit Al Lane in St. Leonard. It does not appear that anything was taken. Dep. A. Mohler is investigating.
BURGLARY: A home on Longhorn Drive in Lusby was burglarized between August 29 at 11:00 a.m. and August 31 at 6:00 p.m. Some liquor was stolen. DFC C. Johnson is investigating and can be reached at 410-535-2800 or follow the above link to leave information anonymously with Crime Solvers.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Culprit(s) attempted to gain entry to a home on Arbor Circle in St. Leonard sometime between August 30 at 6:00 p.m. and August 31 at 6:30 p.m., however, it does not appear entry was made or anything was stolen. DFC J. Norton is continuing the investigation.
BURGLARY: DFC C. Johnson responded to a home on Golden West Way in Lusby for the report of a burglary. The homeowner advised that sometime between August 31 at 10:00 p.m. and September 1 at 2:00 p.m. someone gained entry to the home and stole a Dell tower computer valued at $2500 and a Sony 32 inch LCD flat screen television. CONCEALED WEAPON: On September 2 at 8:03 p.m. Cpl. T. Phelps responded to the parking lot of the Solomons Pier Restaurant for a traffic complaint. A citizen had reported that a vehicle had almost struck another vehicle in the parking lot. Cpl. Phelps made contact with the caller who advised that a man had parked the suspect vehicle and was walking down the boardwalk harassing people and that he had threatened the caller with a bullet. Phelps observed the suspect at Catamaran's Restaurant and made contact with him. He determined that the man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. After obtaining consent to search the man's vehicle, Cpl. Phelps located a 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun, a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun, a Millennium PT 45 caliber handgun, 2 knives, and a large amount of ammunition. The man, identified as George Ivan Kinser, 60, of Dover, Delaware, was arrested and charged with transporting a handgun in a vehicle on public roads and theft less than $1000 after it was found that one of the guns had been reported stolen out of Delaware.
