ROBBERY: On August 30, Deputy Melissa Green was flagged down in the parking lot of St. Mary's Hospital. The citizen informed Deputy Green they had been robbed by a known suspect. The victim had given the suspect, Ronnie D. Tippett, 22, of Hughesville, a ride from Charlotte Hall to Leonardtown. While sitting in a Leonardtown parking lot, Tippett snatched cash from the victim and fled. Tippett was located by Deputy Timothy Snyder in the parking lot of the St. Mary's County Detention Center and arrested. Tippett was charged with Robbery and Theft.

Assault, DUI: On August 29, numerous calls were received for a Chevrolet Blazer swerving all over the road in the Mechanicsville area. The vehicle was located in a parking lot off Old Village Road by Dfc. William Watters. The operator was identified as Michele S. Mccurry, 33, of Chaptico. Mccurry displayed signs of impairment and took several field sobriety tests for which she performed poorly and was arrested.
