LEONARDTOWN, Md. (August 1, 2011)The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DRUG ARREST, DUI: On Monday, July 25 at 12:54am, TFC M. J. Pitcher conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevy Impala in the area of the Hampton Inn in Lexington Park for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the operator, Christopher Kinard Gaynor, 32, of Lexington Park, TFC Pitcher detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Information provided by Mr. Gaynor along with various observations TFC Pitcher noticed resulted in a probable cause search of the vehicle. The search of the vehicle revealed CDS - Marijuana and CDS - Crack Cocaine located in the trunk of the vehicle. Upon being notified that he was being placed under arrest, Mr. Gaynor attempted to flee on foot from the scene; however, he was apprehended a short distance later. Contact with the rental owner of the vehicle confirmed that Mr. Gaynor was not an authorized renter or operator of the rental vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently towed. Also found in Mr. Gaynor's vehicle was an open container of alcohol. Mr. Gaynor was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack where Standardized Field Sobriety was performed. Mr. Gaynor was found to be Driving Under the Influence and was processed accordingly prior to being transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Tuesday, July 26 at 12:29am, Cpl. K. M. Rossignol responded to St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown for a reported disturbance involving Christopher Scott Lacey, 26, of no fixed address. Upon arrival, contact was made with hospital security and a witness who advised that Mr. Lacey caused a disturbance after being notified that he was being discharged from the hospital. Cpl. Rossignol than made contact with Mr. Lacey who initially appeared cooperative but then became irate and disorderly, causing a disturbance. Mr. Lacey was warned that if he did not refrain from inappropriate language and cease yelling he would be placed under arrest. Failing to obey the orders given, Mr. Lacey was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, July 28 at 10:25pm, Sr. TFC. A. J. Malaspina served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15038) on Michael Devon Adams, Jr., 30, of Waldorf. The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County on July 11 with an original charge of Sex Abuse of a Minor as a result of a Grand Jury Indictment. Mr. Adams turned himself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Mr. Adams was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, July 28 at 11:02pm, TFC J. C. Hardesty responded to the Leonardtown Burch Mart for a reported suspicious vehicle. Information provided by the broadcast of the call indicated that a white passenger vehicle had been parked in front of the establishment for an extended period of time. Upon locating the described vehicle, TFC Hardesty and TFC J. S. Gibson made contact with the occupants. An authorized pat down of the passenger's person revealed that he was in possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia that was concealed in a cigarette box. Arrested for Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia was Lee Kitwell Clark, Jr., 25, of Leonardtown. Mr. Clark was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, July 29 at 7:30am, TFC N. E. Gresko served an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15057) on James Price, 49, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County on May 14 with a charge of Violation of Probation / Violation of Protective Order. Mr. Price was located at the Quick Shop on Great Mills Road and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, July 31 at 6:29am, Tpr. E. T. Reuschling served a Bench Warrant (T3-15056) on Michelle Lee Anderson, 36, of Great Mills. The warrant was issued on July 22 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Did Willfully and Knowingly Create and Provide False Evidence of Required Security. Ms. Anderson was located in the 46000 block of Valley Court in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
