LA PLATA, Md. (July 25, 2011)The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ROBBERY: On July 21 at 6:21 p.m., the Charles County Sheriffs Office and La Plata Town Police responded to a parking lot in the 10 block of Shining Willow Way for the reported robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 62-year-old La Plata man, was entering his vehicle when two other men attacked him and stole his wallet containing an undisclosed amount of cash. The men fled on foot. They were described as black males with short hair and were wearing white T-shirts. One of them wore shorts, white shoes and socks and the other wore long pants with a white stripe down the leg. THEFT: On July 21 at 9:43 a.m., the Charles County Sheriffs Office responded to C-I Woodworks located at 12400 Crain Highway in Newburg for the reported theft. The investigation revealed that sometime the previous night suspect(s) removed the padlocks from toolboxes attached to work trucks parked at the business and stole six chainsaws and a backpack blower.
