Local Navy Contract Awards


WASHINGTON (June 16, 2011)—The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, was awarded on June 8 a $107,582,787 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-firm contract (N00019-09-C-0010) for the procurement of one Low Rate Initial Production IV conventional take off and landing F-35 aircraft for the government of the Netherlands, including ancillary mission equipment/pilot fighter equipment items. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (35 percent); El Segundo, Calif. (25 percent); Warton, United Kingdom (20 percent); Orlando, Fla. (10 percent); Nashua, N.H. (5 percent); and Baltimore, Md. (5 percent). Work is expected to be completed in February 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

North Star Scientific Corp., Kapolei, Hawaii, was awarded on June 8 a $10,487,213 firm-fixed-price delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-10-G-0008). This order is for the production of 83 AN-APS-145 Radar Trigger Pulse Amplifier Redesign (TPAR) WRA-31 units; 74 spares, and technical data items for the E-2C aircraft; and 1 modified TPAR unit for the E-2C aircraft simulated maintenance trainer. Work will be performed in Kapolei, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed in December 2013. Contract funds in the amount of $5,043,626 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $408,753,999 ceiling-priced modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-fee contract (N00019-09-C-0019) for the full rate production and delivery of nine fiscal 2011 (LOT 35) F/A-18E aircraft in accordance with the aircraft variation in quantity clause. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed in December 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Rolls-Royce Corp., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $34,228,615 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-10-C-0020) for maintenance services in support of the MV-22 AE1107C turboshaft engine. Work will be performed in Oakland, Calif. (70 percent), and Indianapolis, Ind. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2012. Contract funds in the amount of $34,228,615 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
