LA PLATA, Md. (June 10, 2011)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in locating Atiyat Hassam Walker, 70, of White Plains. Walker was last seen by family members on June 5 when she left a relative's house in Bryans Road. She was reported missing the next day after family members realized she never made it home.

Detectives say Walker may be driving her 2003, gold-colored Toyota Avalon with Maryland tags 729BAK. A computer check of Walker's registration plates showed someone called 911 on June 6 at about 10:20 p.m. to report her car was being operated in an erratic manner near Route 15 in Loudon County, Virginia.

Walker is a black female, 5'5, 150 pounds, brown eyes and brown hair, and has a mole on her chin. She speaks with an accent, wears reading glasses and wears several rings. According to Ms. Walker's family, Walker has dementia and other conditions that may make her disoriented. She is also in need of medication.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Charles County Sheriff's Office at (301) 932-2222 or Detective K. Klezia at (301) 609-6479.
