Sons of the American Legion Post 293 Donates $1,300 to Vacations for Vets

HOLLYWOOD, Md. (June 10, 2011)—The Sons of the American Legion Post 293, based in Waldorf, recently presented the Greenwell Foundation and Southern Maryland Vacations for Vets with a check for $1,300. The donation is designated for a Vacations for Vets weekend at Greenwell State Park in Hollywood.

The Greenwell Foundation, in partnership with Southern Maryland Vacations for Vets, offers recovering servicemen and women and their families a relaxing weekend at Greenwell's Knott Lodge.

The American Legion is a veteran's organization that provides community service to veterans and their families. Services are also provided to various community causes and youth activities.
