LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 31, 2011)The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 5:05pm, TFC J. R. Stern served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-14938) on John Allen Combs, Sr., 38, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued on May 9, 2011 by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County as a result of a Grand Jury Indictment for Child Abuse: Parent. Mr. Combs was located in the 16000 block of Thomas Road in Piney Point. Mr. Combs was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for service and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 10:16pm, TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on a gold Cadillac in the area of Hickory Hills Shopping Center in California for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the vehicle, TFC Gresko detected the odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the operator's breath. Following a standardized Field Sobriety Test, James Darnell Curtis, Jr., 30, of Lexington Park was arrested for DUI. TFC Gresko then made contact with the passenger of the vehicle, Thomas Carroll Gordon, Jr., 29, of Lexington Park in order to perform a search of the vehicle incident to Mr. Curtis' arrest. A pat down of Mr. Gordon's person was also conducted with his consent. Subsequently, Mr. Gordon was found to be in possession of CDS-Marijuana. Mr. Gordon was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:15am, TFC A. J. Malaspina served a Bench Warrant (T3-14962) on James Edward Young, 47, of Avenue. The warrant was issued on May 24, 2011 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of CDS - Possession of Paraphernalia. Mr. Young was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for service. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1:15pm, TFC D. S. Brill served a Bench Warrant (T3-14955) on Jacob C. Page, 18, of Hollywood. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on May 19, 2011 with an original charge of CDS Possession - Marijuana. Mr. Page was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
BURGLARY 4TH DEGREE: On Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:59am, Tpr. E. R. Mersman responded to the 47000 block of South Snow Hill Manor Road in St. Inigoes for a reported burglary in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male complainant, 64, of St. Mary's City who advised he was responsible for watching the property. The complainant advised due to a previous recent burglary, he checked the property on May 28, 2011 and observed a male subject sleeping in the residence. A check of the residence was completed by Tpr. Mersman revealing that the subject was no longer on the premises. The subject, later identified as Brian Patrick Hannon, 54, of an Unknown Fixed Address was later located in the wooded area near the residence, Mr. Hannon was detained and positively identified as the subject observed by the complainant. An inventory of the residence was conducted by the Tpr. Mersman and the homeowner, revealing that Mr. Hannon caused damage to property and consumed items within the residence. Mr. Hannon was arrested for Fourth Degree Burglary and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 1:09pm, Tpr. E. R. Mersman served an Arrest Warrant (T3-14954) on Brian Patrick Hannon, 54, of an Unknown Fixed Address. The warrant was issued on May 17, 2011 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Malicious Destruction of Property. Mr. Hannon was located in the 47000 block of South Snow Hill Manor Road in St. Inigoes and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, May 30, 2011 at 3:00pm, TFC J. S. Gibson served a Bench Warrant (T3-14957) on Christopher Bryan Cox, 27, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on May 23, 2011 with an original charge of Theft: Less than $500.00 Value. Mr. Cox was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
