St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 30, 2011)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On May 22, deputies received a complaint regarding a dispute over a pole barn located on Banerjee Lane in Clements—the complainant's property. As a result of the complaint, Donald Earl Walker, 23, of Clements, was directed by deputies to stop dismantling the barn until the dispute can be resolved in court. On May 26, deputes received a second complaint that Donald Walker was back on the property dismantling the barn. Deputies responded back to Banerjee Lane and found Walker in the process of removing screw from the metal siding of the barn. Walker was arrested and charged with destruction of property.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On May 28, deputies responded to the Sheetz in California for a large crowd complaint. Deputies observed Melvin Aloysious Young, 24, of Avenue, and Marquis Deangelo Barnes, 23, of Lexington Park, yelling at each other. Both subjects were told to stop yelling and leave. The two took aggressive fighting stances with each other. Barnes drew his fist back as to punch Young. Young swung and struck Barnes. Deputies separated and arrest both Young and Barnes for disorderly conduct.

SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On May 29, deputies responded to Saratoga Drive in Lexington Park for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Connie Ann Yiengst, 49, of Lexington Park, was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim. The verbal dispute escalated into a physical assault when Yiengst struck the victim with an ashtray and scratched the victim. Yiengst was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On May 29, deputies and troopers responded to Westberry subdivision in Lexington Park for a report of shots being fired. Upon arrival the officer noticed numerous individuals fleeing the area. Deputies also noticed several individuals attempting to calm Bernard Aloysius Banks, 22, of Lexington Park, who was yelling and screaming in the street. Deputies also attempted to calm Banks, but Banks refused to cooperate and continued to yell and scream. His yelling and screaming drew attention. Banks was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On May 29, deputies responded to the area of Route 249 and Happyland Road in Callaway for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed John Francis Biscoe, 37, of Lexington Park, was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Biscoe punched the victim in the head. Biscoe was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On May 29 at approximately 2:40 a.m., deputies responded to Camp Merryelande Campgrounds located in Piney Point for a report of a disorderly, intoxicated subject. Upon arrival deputies encountered Jackson Wenzlick Pridgen, 24, of California, who was intoxicated, loud and belligerent. Deputies asked Pridgen several times to lower his voice, but Pridgen refused. Pridgen's behavior attracted the attention of numerous camping guests. Pridgen was arrested for disorderly conduct. Further investigation revealed Pridgen had assaulted a camp employee and two other guests staying at the camp grounds. Pridgen was additionally charged with assault, disorderly intoxication, and failing to obey a lawful order of a police officer.
