MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (May 24, 2011)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BICYCLE THEFT: On 5/17/11 at 5:30 pm, Trooper First Class Saucerman responded to the 4400 block of Broomes Island Road in Port Republic, in reference to a theft of a bicycle. A red and black "Chopper" bicycle was stolen from the victim's shed.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, PCP AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: On 5/20/11 at 9:48 pm, Trooper West stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 231 at Hallowing Point Park in Prince Frederick. A passenger, Cortez L. White, 29 of Prince Frederick, was found to be in possession of marijuana, PCP and drug paraphernalia. He was charged and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 5/21/11 at 3:03 am, Trooper West attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 near Plum Point Road in Huntingtown. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit of the vehicle was initiated. The vehicle was stopped on Sheckells Road in Huntingtown. Nicholas B. Zorn, 18 of Chesapeake Beach was the driver of the vehicle. Cameron R. Walden, 18 of Dunkirk; Sean M. Tettimer, 18 of North Beach; and three juveniles were passengers in the vehicle. Walden and Tettimer were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, trespassing, and malicious destruction of property. Tettimer was also charged with resisting arrest. Zorn was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, trespassing, malicious destruction of property, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and numerous traffic violations that occurred while he was attempting to flee and elude police during the pursuit. The three juveniles were charged with possession of marijuana and released to their parents. Walden, Tettimer, and Zorn were incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

BURGLARY: On 5/22/11 at 4:01 am, Trooper First Class Sorenson responded to an alarm at R & J Liquors in Dunkirk. The front door of the store had been damaged to gain access into the business. The victim reported that cigars and cigarettes were stolen. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 5/23/11 at 12:24 am, Trooper West stopped a vehicle for traffic violations at Armory Rd. and Main St. in Prince Frederick. A passenger, Michael D. Duckett, 26 of Indian Head, was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was charged and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
