MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 24, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, May 20, at 12:00pm, TFC E. M. Evans served an Arrest Warrant (T3-14917) on Christopher Michael Gardiner, 32, of Hughesville. The warrant was issued for Mr. Gardiner's arrest on April 28, 2011 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The original charge was Second Degree Assault. Mr. Gardiner was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for service and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, May 20, at 10:30pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton served a Bench Warrant (T3-14946) on Francis Darnell Baker, Sr., 49, of Bushwood. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on May 12, 2011 with an original charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Mr. Baker was located at the St. Mary's County District Court and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Saturday, May 21, at 8:19pm, TFC D. S. Brill responded to the 21000 block of Castaway Circle in Lexington Park for a reported Assault. Upon arrival contact was made with a female complainant, 23, of Lexington Park, who advised a female victim, 9, of Lexington Park, was struck in the face for an unknown reason by a male juvenile, 10, of Lexington Park. Following statement provided by both the victim and suspect, along with evidence observed on scene, TFC Brill arrested and charged a juvenile male with Second Degree Assault. The juvenile was released on scene to a guardian pending further action by Juvenile Services.
