MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (May 23, 2011)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF OXYCODONE, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: On 5/10/11 at 11:36 p.m., Trooper First Class Sorenson was investigating suspicious activity at Stone's Motel at 4100 3rd Street when he encountered Patrick Henry Nutter, 25 of North Beach, who appeared to be extremely intoxicated and disoriented. Nutter was found to be in possession of Oxycodone and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

ILLEGAL DUMPING: On 5/13/11 at 1:35 p.m., Tpr. Casarella responded to the La Toltecca Restaurant in Prince Frederick for a complaint regarding trash placed in a private dumpster. The manager reported that someone threw their personal garbage into the restaurant dumpster.

THEFT: On 5/13/11 at 5:39 p.m., Trooper First Class Sorenson responded to the Bay Area Disposal in Owings for a reported theft. A black 2008 Pace trailer containing two desks and two tables was stolen from the back lot of the business. Investigation continues.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 5/14/11 at 2:30 a.m., Trooper Logsdon responded to the 500 block of Chisolm Trail in Lusby for a reported destruction of property. Nathan L. Davis, 19 of Lusby, threw two bricks at the victim's vehicle after a dispute. The windshield and passenger window were both damaged. Charges are pending.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 5/14/11 at 2:39 p.m., Trooper Casarella responded to the 600 block of Main St. in Prince Frederick for a reported destruction of property. A Calvert County public transportation bus had a window shattered by a shot from a BB gun.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 5/15/11 at 9:58 a.m., Trooper Smith responded to the Calvert High School on Dares Beach Rd. in Prince Frederick for reported destruction of property. The high school and Hess Construction property were damaged by spray paint.

THEFT: On 5/15/11 at 3:39 p.m., Trooper First Class Landis responded to the 4100 block of Leitches Wharf Rd. in Barstow for a reported theft. Copper wire and brass fittings were stolen from the property.

ASSAULT AND BURGLARY: On 5/15/11 at 11:19 p.m., Trooper Esnes responded to the 11500 block of HG Trueman Rd. in Lusby to check a pedestrian lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, Trooper Esnes located Gary O. Harrod, 46 of Lusby, walking unsteadily on the shoulder of the road with a laceration to his ear. Investigation revealed Mr. Harrod had earlier entered a home in the 11400 block of HG Trueman Rd. and assaulted a person. Another resident in the home struck Mr. Harrod with a baseball bat to stop the attack. Mr. Harrod was taken to the hospital for treatment. Charges are pending.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES: On 5/16/11 at 6:08 a.m., Trooper Smith responded to the 2100 block of Loblolly Lane in St. Leonard for a report of theft from vehicles. A GPS unit, Laptop computer and wallet were taken from several vehicles. Investigation continues.
