MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 16, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, May 10 at 12:00 p.m., TFC N. E. Gresko served a Bench Warrant (T3-14932) on Shane Nicolas Wilcox, 19, of Lexington Park. Mr. Wilcox was wanted on a warrant issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on May 6. The original charge was CDS Possession - Paraphernalia. Mr. Wilcox was located in the 21000 block of Elegant Court in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Thursday, May 12 at 5:44 a.m., TFC M. B. Adams responded to the Emergency Room at St. Mary's Hospital for a reported disorderly subject. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male complainant, 40, of Lexington Park, who advised that there was a female subject unsatisfied with her emergency room treatment and discharge and subsequently causing a disturbance at the hospital. TFC Adams made contact with the subject, identified as Barbara Lorie Leonard-Mendoza, 49, of Charlotte Hall, and offered assistance in locating Ms. Leonard-Mendoza a ride in order to vacate the premises. Ms. Leonard-Mendoza was irate, yelling and screaming profanities, TFC Adams advised her multiple times to cease causing a disturbance and to make arrangements to leave the property. After failing to obey orders given by TFC Adams, Ms. Leonard-Mendoza was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Ms. Leonard-Mendoza was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, May 13 at 1:25 a.m., TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on a blue Chevrolet in the area of Maryland Route 237 and Hickory Hills Shopping Center for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the operator, TFC Gresko received a license identifying the operator as Francis Earl Young, 20, of Brandywine. A MVA and NCIC query revealed the Mr. Young was operating on a suspended license, and also had an outstanding warrant. Subsequently, Mr. Young was arrested, a search incident to arrest revealed that Mr. Young was in possession of CDS - Oxycodone. The warrant was issued for Mr. Young's arrest with an original charge of Theft Less Than $1000.00 Value on April 26 by the District Court of Charles County. Mr. Young was served on the outstanding warrant (T3-14944) and charged accordingly on the CDS Possession at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, May 13 at 2:05 a.m., TFC M. B. Adams served a Bench Warrant (T3-14876) on David Brian Holt, 2nd, 23, of La Plata. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on March 31 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Holt was located and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for service. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, May 13 at 5:07 p.m., TFC E. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a gray Nissan Sentra in the area of Maryland Route 246 and Kay Drive in Lexington Park. Upon making contact with the operator, Jeffrey Wayne Roberts, Jr., 25, of Great Mills, TFC Evans detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, revealing CDS - Marijuana on the passenger floorboard. Mr. Roberts was placed under arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged with Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Roberts was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, May 14 at 3:33 a.m., TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on a green Ford Escort in the area of Flora Corner Road and Harvest Lane in Mechanicsville for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the operator and passengers of the vehicle, TFC Gresko requested identification and vehicle registration. The operator was identified as Virgil Matthew Dickerson, Jr., 19, of Mechanicsville, however, the information provided by the front passenger was unreliable. The front passenger was requested to exit, a pat down of his person for officer safety revealed that the subject, later identified as Damien Lamont Thomas, 19, of Mechanicsville was in possession of CDS. A search of the vehicle incident to the arrest of Mr. Thomas revealed CDS and CDS Paraphernalia in the driver side door and under the driver side seat. Mr. Dickerson and Mr. Thomas were subsequently arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, where they were charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, May 14 at 10:45 a.m., Cpl. K. M. Rossignol served a Bench Warrant (T3-14907) on Anthony Tyrone Adams, 26, of Great Mills. The warrant was issued on April 22 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of 2nd Degree Burglary, Trespass on Private Property, and Theft $1000.00 to $10, 000.00. Mr. Adams was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m., TFC G. A. Thompson served a Bench Warrant (T3-14945) on Karan Ann Lewis, 34, of Mechanicsville. Ms. Lewis was wanted on a warrant issued by the District Court of Charles County on January 21 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Ms. Lewis was located in the 30000 block of Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for service and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
