MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 12, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT 1ST DEGREE: On Monday, May 9 at 3:05pm, TFC A. J. Malaspina responded to the 30000 block of Dudley Drive in Mechanicsville for a reported domestic disturbance. Information provided by the St. Mary's County Emergency Communication Center indicated that a male subject was suspected of assaulting a female complainant, 23, and infant victim, both of Mechanicsville, and there was a weapon believed to be involved and still on the suspect's person. Upon arrival, TFC Malaspina observed the female complainant and male suspect both walking towards Huntt Drive in Mechanicsville. TFC Malaspina detained the male subject, later identified as Michael Thomas Dunn, 20, of Mechanicsville, and removed the folding knife that was found on his person. Following properly securing the knife, TFC Malaspina conducted interviews with both the complainant and suspect. Information provided by both parties, revealed that an argument ensued between the suspect and complainant where the suspect ultimately pulled a knife and threatened the infant victim. Subsequently, Michael Thomas Dunn was arrested for First Degree Assault on the infant victim and Second Degree Assault on the female complainant. Mr. Dunn was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack for processing and ultimately transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. Child Protective Services was notified in accordance with Maryland State Police Policies.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, May 10 at 12:00pm, TFC N. E. Gresko served a Bench Warrant (T3-14932) on Shane Nicolas Wilcox, 19, of Lexington Park. Mr. Wilcox was wanted on a warrant issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on May 6. The original charge was CDS Possession - Paraphernalia. Mr. Wilcox was located in the 21000 block of Elegant Court in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, May 10 at 12:01pm, Tpr. E. T. Reuschling served a Bench Warrant (T3-14933) on Mario Martinus Hatton, 24, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Anne Arundel County on April 27 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Hatton turned himself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack, he was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for service and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, May 10 at 5:00pm, Tpr. E. R. Mersman served a Bench Warrant (T3-14934) on Asrat Aydagnehum Geleta, 24, of Kissimmee, Florida. The warrant was issued by the District Court of Charles County on May 5 with an original charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Mr. Geleta was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, May 11 at 9:47am, TFC E. M. Evans served a Bench Warrant (T3-14262) on Jeremy Leigh Keigley, 32, of Great Mills. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on January 6, 2010 with an original charge of CDS Possession - Marijuana and Driving Under the Influence. Mr. Keigley was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Wednesday, May 11 at 5:03pm, Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann responded to the 23000 block of Pembrook Drive for a reported Disturbance and Destruction of Property. Upon arrival, Tpr. Wiesemann made contact with a female witness, 52, of Hollywood, who advised that no property destruction had occurred but that the disturbance was a result of a theft. At that time, Tpr. Wiesemann made contact with the male victim, 23, of Hollywood, who advised Marcus Bryan Darrah, 31, of Hollywood, had removed medication prescribed to him from a vehicle without permission. Prior to the Trooper's arrival, Mr. Darrah had left the scene, and was believed to be in the surrounding areas. Mr. Darrah was observed across the street from the residence, but attempted to flee on foot when approached by officers. Following a short foot pursuit, Marcus Darrah was apprehended. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Darrah was in possession of the stolen items as well as additional CDS and CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Darrah was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, May 11 at 5:40pm, TFC A. J. Malaspina served a Bench Warrant (T3-14921) on Jerry L. Gray, 50, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued for Mr. Gray's arrest by the District Court of St. Mary's County on May 3 with an original charge of CDS Possession - Marijuana. Mr. Gray was located in the 46000 block of Chapman Drive and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
