MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (May 10, 2011)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

PRESCRIPTION FRAUD: On 5/4/11 at 3:34 pm, Trooper First Class Evans responded to the Rite-Aid in Prince Frederick for a report of prescription fraud. An altered prescription for Xanax was presented to the pharmacist by Kara K. Casey, 27 of Churchton. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT: On 5/7/11 at 3:18 pm, Trooper First Class Hunt responded to Rich's Quicklube in the 8800 block of Donalds Way in Owings for a report of an assault with a handgun. Richard C. Tedder, Sr., 59 of Owings, was found to have displayed a handgun during a disagreement with a customer. He was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT/SHOPLIFTING: On 5/7/11 at 8:25 pm, Trooper Esnes responded to the Lusby Liquors in the 11800 block of HG Trueman Rd. in Lusby, for a reported theft. A customer left the store with items that were not paid for. Investigation continues.

THEFT: On 5/8/11 at 11:00 am, Trooper First Class Landis responded to the 200 block of Stafford Rd. in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. The victim arrived home and was told by his roommate that the victim's safe was missing from his bedroom. The safe contained cash and prescription pills.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES: On 5/8/11 at 5:09 pm, Trooper Esnes responded to the 5800 block of Long Beach Dr. in St. Leonard for a reported theft from vehicles. Loose change and a flashlight were stolen from two unlocked vehicles in the victim's driveway. One vehicle's rear storage area sustained damages. Investigation continues.

ASSAULT AND DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 5/8/11 at 7:35 pm, Trooper First Class Wiersma responded to the area of Bay Ave and Calvert St. in Prince Frederick for a report of a disorderly subject fighting with others. Investigation revealed that Steven C Nelson, 20 of Prince Frederick, had become intoxicated and was causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. He was being restrained by family and friends. He was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 5/9/11 at 12:18 am, Trooper First Class Evans stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 at Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick. A strong odor of marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle and a search revealed Marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. The driver, Tyneshia R. Parker, 18, and passenger, Erica D. Requilman, 19, both of Lexington Park, were arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF PRESCRIPTION PILLS: On 5/9/11 at 1:56 am, Trooper Oles stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on First Street at David Lane in Chesapeake Beach. The driver, Austin D. Hagan, 21 of Chesapeake Beach, was found to be in possession of prescription drugs not prescribed to him. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
