Riddle earned a bachelors degree from the University of Maryland in 1983 and received her law degree from the University of Baltimore in 1987. While in law school, Riddle was appointed district court commissioner in Prince Georges County, Md. After being admitted to the bar in 1988, she joined the law offices of Handen & Krug in Prince Frederick. In 1992, Riddle was appointed assistant states attorney for Calvert County where she handled child support cases, juvenile cases and District Court, which gave her significant experience in traffic and misdemeanor criminal cases. She was subsequently appointed senior assistant states attorney and prosecuted felony cases.
In 1999 Riddle was appointed senior assistant states attorney in St. Marys County, Md., where she supervised the District Court division of the states attorneys office. In 2000, she transferred to the Circuit Court division where she tried a variety of felony cases.
Riddle is a member of the Maryland Bar Association, the Calvert County Bar Association, the St. Marys Bar Association, the Maryland Bar Foundation, and past member of the Maryland States Attorney Association.
